   I purchased this yesterday and used it in my lounge for one minute after assembly to test it. It picked up a considerable amount of dog hair that my 2300w hoover left behind. That’s quite impressive for an 820w vacuum.
   The pet hair tool though was another matter, the motor not being strong enough to power the suction rotating brush when in contact with a surface.
   I’ll work with the product for a couple of weeks and then decide it it has a permanent home.
   After about 6 weeks use I can now say I’m still very pleased with the vacuum cleaner and found that if I use my old hoover pet brush in it the brush keeps rotating so the one that came with it was either a poor design or just stiff. I also love how easy it is to clean out the dirt colledtion container, I always strip it down and scrub with a little disinfectant so my vacuum does not smell of dog. Also I’ve found it works to add a few drops of diffuser oil so have a nice smell when using the machine.

   Purchased this hoover to replace a much more expensive one that after replacing numerous parts over the years (under guarantee ) now that it has run out I found the parts to to be very expensive, hence looking at a different model with a good write up…….. well so far I must say its the first time I have found a hoover with such a long electrical cord, I can hoover the complete big bungalow without keep plugging in the hoover in nearly every room! its good for my needs for hard floors and carpets , it eats up all the delights incurred when owning a dirty Spaniel , the suction is very good it easy to change from hard floor to carpet, the dirt container is a decent size ………the not so good bits are – the hose system is a bit of a faff but as I don’t have stairs this is not a real problem – the hoover does not look or feel very robust – the plastic is slightly lightweight and almost feeble looking, BUT having said that the price is so very good for what you do get – so its not actually a complaint more of an observation. The ordering was easy and delivery was very quick and Item was packed in its own box very well. I live in an area where there are no shops within a three hour drive where such items can be purchased so Amazon is my best friend and has come up trumps again !

   This vac is ideal if you have pets or a busy household. It’s got a super long cable so there’s no need for keep plugging it in and out. It’s got a strong suction so picks up hair easily. It’s easy to empty, you just release it with the press of a button and empties with the press of another button. It’s easy to push around and comes with tools for cleaning stairs, furniture and difficult to reach places. I would certainly buy again.

   We have bought the Vax Air Stretch Upright Vacuum Cleaner for our house many times and although the vacuum does give up on us three years down the line we still keep coming back as it’s by far the best vacuum we have had. Of course, I would prefer it lasted many many more years but we always end up with the hair displacing the bar at the front of the vacuum. For this reason and three vacuums later we have made it our aim to remove the hair from the bar after each use in hopes that in three years time that the vacuum will still be working well and not give up on us again!

   The vacuum is very efficient at cleaning the carpets and has a strong suction which picks up everything on the floor easily and when I say everything, I mean everything! It takes a bit of getting used to as if (like my bedroom) the carpet hasn’t been fitted, it will try to suck up the carpet. If there’s newspaper on the floor it’s as if the hoover sees it a mile away and it will be sucked up the hoover before you get the chance to save the paper. I like that it has such a good suction though as having used other vacuums in the past there is nothing more annoying than a hoover that you have to go over areas multiple times just to get the dirt off the floor.

   The vacuum is quite hard to push when you first use the vacuum as that is how strong the suction is but otherwise it’s a very easy vacuum to use and manoeuvre. I love how the wire is 13m long as it means I can hoover the whole of each floor of the house without having to unplug the vacuum which is quite impressive as we don’t have a small house.

   The long hose is perfect for cleaning the stairs and reaching any cobwebs that might be around. I don’t find the hose accessory as good as the actual hoover with the bar on itself but it still works pretty good and does the job which is all that matters.

   It is easy to empty the vacuum and clean the filter which we do every now and then to keep the vacuum clean. Usually this is prompted by when the vacuum starts to get really smelly but thankfully once it’s cleaned (which doesn’t take long at all) then the smell goes away again.

   I am very pleased with this vacuum and think it is fantastic quality for the price. I have only given it four stars because of this being the third vacuum of its kind in the last ten years but I’d still buy it again because of its affordability and efficiency. The only thing that could make this vacuum better is if there was a anti hair wrap feature as this seems to be our biggest vacuuming issue.
