I don’t have a dirty looking or smelly washing machine, but ordered these to do a regular maintenance clean on my machine. I’ve previously used normal laundry detergent for this but was concerned about limescale build up as we used to live in a hard water area.
On opening the box you see the tablets individually wrapped in what appears to be small paper packets. These packets are in fact lined with plastic, are quite difficult to tear open and are certainly not easily recyclable in the UK. I mention this mainly because the product listing says they are eco friendly and have less packaging, which seems a little miss-leading to me. OK they are comparing to wipes (not sure why you would use these to clean your washing machine though) and liquid de-scaler, but I’m not convinced that the packaging is reduced significantly enough to use this as a point of difference.
The instructions are a little contradictory. The product listing states that using these tablets will remove the need to “brush and wipe your washing machines” but the instructions on the pack state that you should “Use a rag or towel to wipe and remove the dirt residues in the drum and other areas”.
They are easy enough to use though – just pop one in the drum of your machine and set it running at a high heat. They certainly do foam up a lot.
The pack contains 24 tablets. The advice on pack is to use this product twice a month, so the box gives you a year’s supply.

I am absolutely thrilled with the Washing Machine Cleaner I recently tried, and I can confidently say it deserves a glowing five-star review. The drum came out sparkling clean and the smell gone.

Tenía mis dudas cuando eché una sola pastilla al bombo de la lavadora, pero la verdad es que me ha sorprendido. La babilla esa que se forma en la junta de la goma cerca de la puerta ha desaparecido. Nunca me había planteado hacer un ciclo de limpieza mensual pero visto lo fácil que es, todos los meses haré una.

Me las recomendó el técnico de la lavadora. Resulta que mi lavadora me estaba manchando la ropa blanca y clara, y el técnico que inspecció la lavadora dijo que era suciedad de dentro del tambor, que comprar estas tabletas y que hiciera 4 ciclos seguidos con ellas. Estoy muy contenta con el resultado, la verdad. Yo antes pensaba que limpiaba la lavadora con echarle bicarbonato y ácido cítrico de vez en cuando, pero está visto que hay que usar cosas hechas específicas para ciertas tareas. Ahora usaré estas tabletas 1 vez al mes para mantemimiento de la lavadora.

Does the job. Very easy to use, just put it in and turn on the machine. Nonetheless after cleaning the machine you have to clean it again from this product.
Machine is left shiny, smells nice and packaging is eco friendly.
