I’m really happy with the Tefal Easy Fry XXL 2in1 Digital Dual Air Fryer & Grill (EY801827). From the moment I set it up in my kitchen, it felt like I’d upgraded my cooking routine in the best way possible. The first thing that stands out is its sheer versatility. With a massive 6.5L capacity—or the option to use two separate 3.25L zones thanks to the Flexcook divider—you can easily cook for a crowd or prepare two different dishes at once. I love being able to roast a whole chicken in the XXL zone one night, then split the drawer to air fry chips and grill salmon the next, knowing both will be ready at the same time thanks to the intelligent synchronisation mode.
The digital touchscreen is bright, modern, and incredibly easy to use. With eight preset programs—including fries, nuggets, roasted chicken, pizza, meat, fish, vegetables, and even dessert—cooking healthy meals with minimal oil couldn’t be simpler. The Extra Crisp air circulation technology really delivers on its promise: everything I’ve made comes out crispy on the outside and tender inside, with up to 99% less added fat compared to traditional frying. The grill plate is a fantastic addition, letting me achieve those authentic sear marks and barbecue-style flavors right in my kitchen, even when the weather isn’t cooperating.
One of my favorite features is the speed—this air fryer cooks up to 57% faster than a conventional oven, and I’ve noticed real energy savings too, which is great for both my wallet and the environment. Never thought I’d be an air fryer person but here I am, an air fryer person. I use it for cooking most things instead of my oven. Takes seconds to preheat, has high temperature, is lasting very well. Seems to be a healthier way of cooking judging by all the fat that is drained from everything I’m cooking. Only down side is I find it a little hard to clean the grill plate

Absolute game changer in the kitchen!
Took some time to figure out what cooks how long, but now i feel like Ramsey with this machine!
Cooks well and rapid, probably on smaller size compared to others, but it’ll cook anything regardless, whole chicken, veg or even frozen pizza(broken into pieces).
Hate cleaning it thought as it’s a bit awkward, maybe my sink just isn’t big enough and it’s alright in bigger ones.

Stands about an inch taller than other Tefal air fryers. Draw on this 4.2 Litre version isn’t deep enough to accommodate a small chicken unless the carcass is cut into two pieces otherwise it will touch the hot ring plus I wasn’t able to get the drawer open without poking a spatula inside to press the bird down as I pulled the drawer open.
The preselected cooking mode for roast chicken is 60 minutes at 200c which is too high for too long, I cooked a small chicken at 165c in 45 minutes in air fryer mode with the carcass cut into two pieces ie: cut in half with meat shears.
The grill works well but I’m not sure you can manually adjust times and temperature in grill mode and again the preselected symbols on the display are limited in choice. I cooked six bacon rashers in grill mode, there isn’t a bacon symbol so I selected steak which put the grill at 200c for 10 minutes which resulted in burnt bacon. The display needs a bacon preselect symbol.
This 4-2 litre grill version from Tefal is much noisier in use than my twin drawer Tefal air fryer.
I have given it four star rating instead of five because of the lack of useful symbols in grill mode and the inability to manually adjust cooking times and temperatures in grill mode, you can only operate grill using preselects and there isn’t one for bacon that I can see on the display panel.
I think I am right in saying it cannot be manually adjusted in grill mode, I tried and couldn’t seem to take over adjustments hence the burnt bacon using the only other meat symbol which was steak at 200c for 10 minutes. In reality I think 6 minutes at 175c would have been enough for bacon rashers.
The instruction leaflet that came with this air fryer is not very good and not much use at all.
I have placed my fryer on a wooden chopping board as there seems to be a lot of heat at the bottom of the fryer and I am concerned about it marking the kitchen worktop.
The 240v power lead with moulded 3 pin plug on is plenty long enough, very generous in fact.
I am pleased with this digital display 4.2 litre 2 in 1 air fryer and grill from Tefal even though it’s noisier than my other twin drawer version.
Air fryer seems to have become a generic term for describing these cookers which is confusing because they don’t fry food as in the conventional oil in pan method they are simply fan blown air over an electric ring blowy downwards into a much smaller container drawer than the inside area of a conventional oven. My electricity bills are coming down since I’ve not been using a main oven as much but I still have to use the main oven in other circumstances for example warming dinner plates prior to serving food, something an air fryer can’t do.

Got this for Deepavali. It safed me a lot of frying. Reheating was also great. The Vadais and samosas were hot, crunchy and not oily. Glad I got it.
