   So far so good, quiet boiling, easy to use, cool touch body and lid, looks good, I like that the inside doesn’t have a lip so when lime scale builds up you can tip it straight out and there’s nothing for it to get caught on and being trapped in the kettle, so the kettle will always be clean. I’ve read in some comments that the inside gets stained but I’ve not had that in mine, I live in a hard water area to I think the stains people are talking about is the start of lime scale build up, which I have noticed in mine but it’s nothing that white vinegar or a limescale remover won’t get rid of. I really like the kettle and all it’s functions so I hope it has a great build quality and lasts a very long time… so far I’m really pleased with my purchase.

   This kettle has surprised us in how good and useful its features are. It looks good, is very stable on its base when boiling the water and the actual temperature of the heated water can be set easily. It’s surprising how often one chooses to heat water to a temperature other than boiling. It shows that continually boiling water up to 100 degrees centigrade isn’t always what you need to do and is also a waste of electricity. So being able to choose the temperature you want and set the keetle to keep warm at that temperature if required, is a really useful feature. On that point, the way to set the temperature is really easy and straightforward, requiring only a light touch or ‘brushing’ action across the knob on the handle, to cycle through the temperature options. Just stopping touching the knob will allow the kettle to select that temperature and start the heating process. It has been reliable in every respect. I would certainly buy this kettle again.

   Love this! After our previous (much more expensive kettle) let us down twice we decided to try a different brand. I still wanted something modern with temperature control and a sleek design and this ticked all the boxes. I did read the reviews and although they were mixed we decided to go for it for the price – ooh weren’t we surprised! It’s been a couple months and is boiled 10+ times a day and it’s holding up so well. It isn’t any noisier than any kettle I’ve had. Boils reasonably quickly. Works absolutely great. So pleased!

    Estaba un poco renuente porque es digital, luego de que lo he empezado a usar veo que es mucho mejor de lo que pensaba, se puede hervir leche incluso sin que se riegue, se puede hervir rápidamente casi dos litros de agua. Es el hervidor que he tenido más fácil de limpiar puesto que no tiene tubos ni nada que incomode a la limpieza.

    I was a bit disappointed with this kettle. The controls are fiddly and frustrating. With my old bog standard kettle, I could heat half a pint of water, the minimum level in this one is 1 pint – so I’m heating water I don’t want. Also, the temperature controls only work when it’s filled above the min level.
    So the kettle I bought to save me money by only heating to 70 or 80C actually costs me more.
    On the plus side, I like the ‘keep warm’ function.

    Nice kettle, works well. All inside is stainless steal so there is no plastic taste left when boiling water. All outside is plastic. Variety of temperatures available ,touch button.

    I was in the market for a non-plastic kettle, as I’ve become very aware how detrimental plastic is to our health, so I’ve been trying to eliminate as much plastic-contact as possible from our food and drink. I read many reviews across multiple sources and came across this one. Although it didn’t have the best reviews on other sites, it was within my budget and, although the outer-material is plastic, the inner material (which the water is in contact with) is stainless steel. Some alternatives that I was looking at (including glass ones) still had plastic spouts or plastic inner lids, whereas this one is fully stainless steel inside, which was a big win for me.

    Since having the kettle and using it daily for 3 months, I absolutely love it. My first thoughts were that it’s stylish and sleek, but then functionality came into play and I was very impressed. I love that I can boil my tea at 60 degrees, but my husband does his coffee hotter, and then I save 100 degrees for when I’m sterilising baby stuff, or I use 45 degrees to wilt spinach; we use the different temperatures much more than I thought we would actually!

    The ‘keep warm’ function is also amazing for me, as having a newborn baby means I can rarely boil the kettle and make the tea within 10 mins! So no more repeated boiling due to water cooling, as it stays at the temperature I want until I’m able to get back to make my drink, what a luxury for a new mum having a warm cuppa!

    My only slight downsides which I’ve deducted a star for are:
    – The lid (a lift-off lid rather than a hinged lid), as on the occasions I’ve taken the lid off to re-fill the kettle, or when I empty the kettle after use (to try and prevent limescale), it can be a bit fiddly and I can see how people could burn themselves.
    – Secondly is, on a couple of occasions the kettle doesn’t seem to ‘wake up’ when I switch it on at the wall, and it appears to be broken. But, I just turn it off for 5 seconds and back on, then it works perfectly again. So, it isn’t yet an issue! I just hope this is an intermittent bug, as I really do rate this kettle and don’t want to go back to a classic one now.
    – The spout isn’t a fine one, in that any limescale buildup doesn’t get filtered out at the spout due to the holes being quite big and letting any limescale through easily.

    The speed to boil seems good, I haven’t noticed any longer wait than my previous kettle (a Brita one), although I rarely boil a full kettle, only what I need.

    As for the weight of it, I find it fine for me (I’m not very strong and I can lift it easy enough with 1 hand when it’s full), so I think this would only be an issue if you have arthritis or something which makes lifting more difficult.

    Overall, I think this product is great value for money, and I would absolutely recommend or buy again (although my Brita kettle lasted 7 years, so hopefully I won’t need to replace this Bear one any time soon!).
