Ash Bindra –
This item arrived with a plug for a different country so I couldnt use it. I didn’t want to chance it by getting my own adaptor in case it doesn’t work with it and doesn’t meet Australian electrical standards. Please don’t sell in Australia if you are not even willing or able to provide an Australian plug.

After 3 months working, display icons gone.

Easy to use kettle, although it is heavier than other kettles i have had.
Takes a few seconds to start after switching on.
Barbara –

It is really a very nice kettle

This kettle changed everything. The keep warm function is wonderful. And there is a temperature setting at which it will keep warm for up to 40 minutes. Wish it could be longer than 40. The soft touch buttons and the setting dial are all well laid out. Great choice for a kettle.

Love this kettle. I have tried a few different ones over the past few years and they have either broken quickly or found them very slow to boil.
This works great. You can programme the temperature and then the display shows the temperature rising. It also has a strainer built in so you can make the tea straight into the kettle (although not tried this yet as i drink coffee and my wife tea!).
It’s also a bonuses that you can watch the kettle boiling which is surprisingly hypnotic.
Well worth the price and would highly recommend.

Purchased this kettle because we drink a lot of green tea that needs different temperatures. This kettle did not disappoint for one moment. It looks great in the kitchen, it is really easy to clean and this is important because we live in a really hard water area. I clean the inside base and glass with a half of a fresh lemon, leave it to do it’s magic for about 20 minutes and rinse off. All the mineral deposit comes away and the kettle looks like new again. Low noise level, quick to boil.

I don’t know why I had to wade through five pages of Chinese trash before this kettle was finally shown to me. My old Russell Hobbs kettle is still going strong after more than a decade but I wanted some temperature control for various teas and coffees. This really fits in at a very good price point compared to the high end kettles with 1C variable control (this one is 5C increments, despite what the marketing says).
The base plate has a conveniently small footprint for the countertop, no larger than it needs to be. The cable is reasonable and has a cutout under the base plate to wind the excess, if you don’t need all the length. Overall it’s quite an attractive unit, although time will tell how water marks and scale might affect that.
Crucially, it seems to perform very well. I set it to 85C with the minimum two cups of water in it, to see if it really could manage the temperature control as claimed. It brought the water up to temperature quickly without hesitating too much near the final temperature. When I tested it with a calibrated culinary thermoprobe, it was bang on within 0.5C. Very impressive!
Only criticisms would be that it pours a little slowly, so if you’re just boiling water for pasta it’s slightly frustrating. And the tea infuser it comes with is a waste of metal, there isn’t enough porosity to allow the water to circulate well and extract from the tea leaves – stick to your teapot or French press or whatever.

Turning the kettle on always requires two separate button presses which is slightly annoying. If they had done something like a double press of the power button to start the kettle that would have been easier.

EDIT: This developed a serious error after only a few months where the heat dial would start reporting wild changes in temperature during the boil cycle and then turn off. It would also start boiling while reporting 80 degrees and continue to boil and not turn off. Looking at the 1 star reviews this appears to be a common problem. The returns process also turned out to be less than easy although in the end I have returned it for a full refund.
I will defiantly be looking for a different kettle with my refund and would not recommend this.

This is a great looking, well built and fast boiling kettle.
I have one major gripe, unless you pour extremely slowly, the spout leaks on either side and you end up with water on the bench. It is not just me who have this problem with the kettle, when we first got this, all three adults in the house ended up with water everywhere, and when my adult kids visit they all have the same problem when pouring at the rate they would with there own.
We are just getting used to pouring at a very slow rate rather than returning this otherwise excellent kettle, but how did Russell Hobbs miss this when testing the finished product?
A much smaller gripe, that does not really effect functionality, but it would be nice if the default display showed the current water temperature. As far as I am aware, unless there is a setting I can’t find, you have to start the boiling prosses to see this information.
A bit expensive compared to most other major brand kettles but is a stunning looking item and looks fantastic with the matching toaster. As I said in my review of the equally great toaster, I am very tempted to also get the coffee machine.
