Going back to basics with this one, we had a fancy see-through one before this one, we replaced it as it went faulty, this one is fast boiling and the pourer is far better than our last one. So far so good.

An excellent double-walled electric kettle with stainless steel interior. I knocked off one star for a complicated number of presses being required on the start button, with varying length pauses between, to actually set the kettle heating the water. I say ‘heating’ rather than ‘boiling’ as the final temperature can be chosen from 40, 60, 80, 90, 100C, although it seems to default to 100C. If you persevere with learning the ‘starting sequence’ than a great, versatile kettle. Very quick to boil and cuts off immediately after reaching the set temperature. I’m pleased with our purchase.
Edit – I’ve now used the kettle for a few days & I’ve seen I was wrong about a complicated menu system – it’s NOT. I was being impatient. Just press once & leave the kettle alone. There is a few seconds wait and then it starts heating the water.

It’s still works unlike the last one I brought off Amazon, looks nice, very stylish, pretty quick boil. Only downside is side is the filter is useless, I live in a very hard water area and bits of scale come through the filter into my cup. No matter how much I descale/ clean/ rinse the kettle. The filter just doesn’t cut it.
