This toaster has been used every day for the last 14 years and is going strong and with a good clean look almost as good as when I bought it. Truly a toaster for life and a style that surpasses every passing fashion. Toaster for life.

Never thought I’d spend £200 something as basic as a toaster. Looks and build quality are very good, Lets hope “John” did a good job. Everything about this toaster shouts quality. the timer has a nice resistance / wind, with a built in reset fuse. Cant comment on use as this is just first impressions so need to bed it in a little. I will say open the window on first use to burn of the factory coating on the elements as it set my fire alarm off and it smells a bit… Overall though if you want a quality product I have no doubt this is worth every penny.

I think this is the dearest toast I have purchased and the worst ….. it buns one side and don’t even cook the other had my time hadn’t run out to send it back I definitely would’ve sent it back

I bought this to replace a very old four slice Dualit toaster which I had inherited from relatives. The four slice model was tempermental but I put this down to its age. Sadly, the six slice model has proved even more tempermental. Regardless of the settings it will often either burn the toast or evenly toast one side of the bread and do nothing to the other. The only way to be certain of decent toast is to stand over the blessed thing and watch it like a hawk. I ought to have sent it back immediately it became obvious that it was bordering upon useless but never got around to it. When it finally dies or I lose patience with it Dualit will not be my go to brand for a new one.

Ce grille pain fonctionne bien mais je m’attendais a recevoir un Dualit comme autrefois, le même que celui qui m’a accompagné 30 ans. Et bien nom dès le déballage on s’aperçoit que la qualité n’est pas la même. Donc a voir dans la durée, mais fortement déçu…

With four kids, a six-slice toaster makes breakfast so much easier. My wife absolutely loves it. We’ve had ours six months now and would recommend it to anyone. Only downside to it is that there is no beep or ping when the toast is done. Otherwise, it is well worth it.

Der Toaster mag für ganz normale Toastscheiben ok sein. Aber wir essen gerne die im Handel erhältlichen Toastbrötchen. Diese sitzen so weit im Toaster, dass man sie nach den Toastprozess nicht mehr aus den Schlitzen heraus bekommt, weil der Schlitten einfach zu weit unten im Gerät stehen bleibt. Eine unsägliche Fummelei wird dann nötig sein, um die Toastbrötchen wieder heraus zu bekommen. Das macht jeder Toaster für 30 Euro wesentlich besser. Dafür dann diesen horrenden Preis zu zahlen halte ich für verrückt. Ich habe ihn zurück geschickt.

This toaster looks good, has a nice layout and of course has good capacity. You do have to get used to the lever to lower and raise your bread/toast however it is a good design and lifts the toast well for easy access. It does also cook the toast quickly and evenly.
Unfortunately the timer control lets it down (not a faulty unit but a problem with the design): – It has a lot of play in it making it difficult to set accurately. – Anything above 2.5 makes toast very dark for medium sliced – I cant really see why there’s any setting above that as it’s basically charcoal. – The above means there’s only a short range on the dial that’s actually used – making it harder to be accurate. – Because the duration of the cooking is set in order to activate the toaster you have to set it every time and therefore get variable results. – The difference in brown-ness between first and second batch is significant meaning you have to compensate.
My previous (relatively) cheap 4 slice unit had a brown-ness selector independent of the activation and gave very consistent results even if not quite so elegant looking or evenly cooked.
I will continue to use this toaster due to the extra capacity and other redeeming features. However I believe a unit of this price should have a better designed timing control and would urge people consider the design of the timer before going ahead and purchasing…

Warehouse deal, saving £100, so excellent price, however, a little more damage than was described. Crumb tray is bent & the left handle missing making clean up a a tad fiddly. That said, when you account for the saving, this can be fixed & doesn’t affect the actual toaster s despite this I have still given 5 🌟 as this is the best toaster ever for a large household. Practice your preferred timings first as this toasts incredibly quick. As with all dualit products this will last for years.

j’ai eu plusieurs grille-pains de marques différentes tous sont tombés rapidement en panne (qqs mois d’utilisation max.2ans) leur point faible étant la descente et la remonté automatique des tr. de pain. avec ce grille pain Dualit pas de Pb, il est mécanique; j’ai un 4 Tr.depuis 13ans (Magimix mais: même origine et +cher !!); il y a 3ans j’ai seulement fait changer la minuterie et là, tout récemment, il y a 1 résistance qui s’est rompue; j’ai donc décidé de faire réparer(Darty) et faire changer toutes les résistances pour qu’il soit ” neuf ” mais étant donné sa capacité parfois insuffisante j’ai donc décidé d’acheter un 6 Tr.qui, je pense, me donnera autant satisfaction que le précédent.

Le grille-pain fonctionne mal 36 jours après l’acheteur et le vendeur ne propose qu’une politique de retour de 30 jours. Mauvais produit mauvais vendeur.
