I have owned this toaster for just over 3 months, I liked it as we could put Pitta Bread in it. The finish is attractive, there is however one issue and that is the sliding side control that increases the time your toast is being done is imho poorly designed being too sensitive to extremely small movements.
If I put a slice of white bread into the toaster I have to set it at just under the two setting, the toast will come out burnt at the edges. To reduce the time is almost impossible as the sensitivity means the next slice will be under done. The difference in a mm of movement results in burnt or underdone. The highest setting is 7, I cant imagine what that is for. My previous toaster have include DeLonghi and Russell Hobs, not worth the money.

Matt looks very good. It is very powerful and most of the time I am toasting things on setting one or two however when pushing down the lever to start the toasting it feels like it’s going to break. I’m not sure if it’s a fault with my toaster or they are all the same.

Do not by this toaster! This is the second one I’ve purchased and it has developed the same fault as the first! It is blowing all the electrics in the house when you switch it on. The first one I bought developed the fault within the return window of buying, so I was able to return it and bought another as I just thought it would be a one off issue, especially as Morphy Richards are a brand you know and trust. Unfortunately the second one I’ve had for approx 12 months so I’m well over being able to return to Amazon, but I’ll be taking it up with Morphy Richards themselves.
