This 2-slice toaster has a sleek stainless steel design and offers 7 browning levels, which work well for achieving my desired toastiness. The extra-wide slots fit thicker bread easily, but they are a little short for larger slices, leaving the top part untoasted. It’s also easy to clean the crumb tray, works quite similar to regular toasters. It is priced at £22.99 at the time of review, which I think is reasonable considering the performance. Overall, it’s a good toaster with a minor drawback for larger bread slices.

this is a pretty simple by the numbers kind of appliance. it has every basic feature checked off the wishlist and is styled to look nice in a way that will fit into most kitchen’s decor.
it has wide slots for thick items but it’s still not the tallest and very tall loaves may end up needing a quick flip if you want it toasted end to end.
but it toasts fairly nice and even across the parts it does reach and the browning adjustment seems to be fairly responsive allow you to tweak it to your own preference.
it’s half decent but fairly nondescript. it’s a toaster that will likely do what you need it to but it’s not a toaster that’s going to impress you as it does it.

This is a nice looking toaster. The only thing that lets it down is the fact it’s only 2 slice. With 4 slice toasted around the same price i don’t think this does enough to be a contender at the current price of £23.
Everything works and all makes sense. It’s easy to use and know whats what. There are instructions but i don’t think this benefits from them.
Overall it does work so if you’re happy with the look and the price then i’m sure you will be happy.

This Quest 2-slice toaster is actually a pretty decent little toaster if you just want something simple that does the job without taking up loads of space on the worktop and it seems sturdy enough. It’s got extra wide slots, so you can chuck in crumpets, bagels, or those thick slices of bread that never seem to fit in the old toaster (although, if I’m being honest, the really massive slices still need a bit of a nudge or a flip halfway through – classic toaster move).
You get seven browning levels, so whether you’re a fan of barely-there toast or you like it basically one step away from charcoal, you’re covered. The controls are easy enough to figure out, and there’s a reheat and defrost function which is handy if you’re like me and always forget to take bread out of the freezer. The crumb tray just slides out so cleaning isn’t a faff, and there’s cord storage underneath so you can actually tidy it away without the cable trailing everywhere.
It’s not perfect – it’s not the fastest toaster in the world, and you do have to turn the bread round if you want it evenly done top to bottom, but it toasts evenly across the slice and doesn’t burn one side while leaving the other pale (which has happened with a few toasters I’ve had before). It’s compact and looks smart in stainless steel, so it doesn’t look out of place even if your kitchen is on the smaller side.
If you just want a straightforward, no-nonsense toaster that can handle a bit more than your standard sliced loaf, this is a good shout. Not perfect, but it’s definitely made breakfast a bit less of a faff in this house.

It’s a really good toaster, with a nice and modern look that fits into most contemporary kitchens. The slots are wide as stated, so great for crumpets and the like, but this does not equate into deeper slots. So this toaster still has the same issue as many others where you have to flip regular sized slices of bread in order to toast the whole thing. Quality is good, and it works really well otherwise. Good value for money, but be aware of size constraints.
