I’ve used the 4.5 BT headset for quite a while & it’s a very good headset.
The audio quality is great, the quality for phone calls is very good also & adds a lot of convenience for calling people while walking or multitasking, not having to hold anything in your hand.

The headsets band can be a bit uncomfortable for some people.. I’d say when I first got it, my head almost felt sore from it after a few hours of wearing it. I haven’t felt that soreness for a long time though now, I guess it’s like riding a bike with a new seat & feeling sore when you first use it but eventually becoming used to it.

I use the headset for gaming on my PC & video/voice conferencing on it also for work. I also use it for pairing to my smart phone which I use mainly for listening to music, but again for phone calls at times too.

They are Sennheiser, so I don’t need to talk about the audio quality… Sennheiser don’t make anything but top tier audio quality devices.

I would and I have recommended these headsets to people before, my ex gf even wanted a pair & asked me for advice so I recommended she get this pair & she did.

My cups wore on my headset after a while as well, but this is because I was using them a lot in summer and sweating & putting my sunglasses on while I was already wearing them, I think the sunglasses caused the seams to tear with the cups. It was no problem though, I ordered replacement cups & they fit on with ease. I’ve ordered some extra cups too for later down the line when I will eventually need new ones (all cups for all headsets wear over time)

Adding the new cups was amazing, it felt like I had a brand new headset again!

The sound is incredible. Pair these with an app or device that has an EQ and you can have any sound you like, you can do the U shape of garbage headphones like Ankers and Beats, where it’s all bass, no mids and full treble so you can’t hear a damn thing but it’s loud (fun sometimes), or leave it flat and hear EVERYTHING. Listen to Driver’s Licence with these on and you can hear Olivia Rodrigo hitting the pedal on the piano, which is nuts. The sound quality is incredibly good, and completely devoid of the marketing garbage you find on more fashion-friendly headphones.

The sound cancelling is not really sound cancelling, more like sound muting. I have autism so it makes the city center bearable, and at home I can’t hear any appliances whirring, but turning it on and off the main difference is that external sounds become clearer when it’s off, not suddenly apparent like it completely got rid of them.

Ignore the reviews that mention the beeping issue, that was fixed in a software update a while ago now.

I love them, get them immediately if medium sound cancelling isn’t a dealbreaker for you, as everything else is perfect, the fit is great, the sound is fabulous, the build quality is solid and they are very very comfortable.

I purchased these when I had become sick of bluetooth earbuds, as I was constantly having pairing problems and other issues where they’d just give me grief, so I got these instead hoping they’d have better sound and less issues at the cost of some portability or convenience.
I primarily use them for longer walks or just going around shops, and they do the job very well for that.

    The positives:
    – I think the sound quality is perfectly fine. A little bassier than my usual tastes, but probably not bassy enough for an electronic music addict. They’re a good all round sound quality that doesn’t start to fall apart at higher volumes. Sennheiser’s usual focus on being a bit “neutral” but these definitely have more focus on low end than some others I’ve used from them.
    – They feel quite well built while still being light enough. The cans themselves are mostly plastic but it feels like durable plastic, and have taken a few knocks and drops without issue. The headband feels robust enough to last while still being flexible.
    – The way these fold are useful for slipping into a jacket pocket.
    – I’ve had no pairing issues with them at all and they don’t need or suggest using an app, which after coming from earbuds is a really nice change for me.

    The nitpicks:
    – The noise cancellation is simply “okay”. I’m not an expert in what is good or bad noise cancellation, but I tend to find with the noise cancellation for these the music quality dips slightly (I can only describe it as “narrowing” the soundstage if that makes sense) and it doesn’t cancel enough to warrant using. The passive noise cancelling by being closed well and having a tight fit around your ears is sufficient enough.
The best way I’d quantify the noise cancelling is if you’re walking along the road and a car drives past, it removes some of the low rumble of the engine and it sounds like it’s one lane further away from you, so more of a slight mitigation than an elimination. I typically just don’t bother and have the music slightly louder.
It’s excellent in low intensity situations, I find it does wonders for tuning out a washing machine a room away, but for busy roads I’m not sure it’s really all that impressive. Better than nothing, at the very least.
    – The controls on the headphones themselves are a mixed bag. I like the quick on/off for noise cancellation, the volume buttons are perfectly fine, and I like the “slide” control for next/previous track. However that slide control has 2 major downsides. Firstly, it’s easy to flick to the next track by mistake while adjusting your headphones until you get used to it, and second is that pause/play needs you to press down the control without accidentally moving it back or forward to change track which I find finnicky. The pause/play is a bit annoying to use as a result, but I don’t use it all that much and it’s not much fuss to just pull out my phone to do it instead.
    – They can be quite a tight fit. They don’t really rest on your head but clamp to the sides of your head, presumably to try and block out as much sound as possible. It took me some getting used to, where it would be uncomfortable over long usage and cause some heat/sweat to occur over a longer walk or similar. I can’t imagine using these for more than a few hours without needing to have a break every now and then.

I personally think these are worth the price if you get a good few years out of them. They’re a touch towards the dearer side for a pair of competent headphones, but they feel like they’re good quality and will last a long enough time. Had them for half a year now with plenty of day-to-day abuse and so far they still go strong. If I can get them going for closer to 5 years then it was well worth the money.
They seem ideal for someone just wanting headphones to quickly slap on for an hour or two without fuss or compromise, but I could see them being quite uncomfortable for all-day usage and I’m not sure I’d enjoy the extra sweatiness if I used them for exercise, although I haven’t tested that theory as earbuds are still my go-to for that.
Despite all my gripes I do like them and would recommend them if you can stomach the price, as I like the sound quality, they’re very convenient and easy to use, and good enough at blocking noise naturally with the cancellation working as a little bit extra mitigation.

I had these for several weeks before I gave this to my sister and upgraded to B & W PX7.
They come with a cloth carrying case but I recommend buying a hard case for these.
They are built really well and no creaks or sounds when you use them.

I like the looks of these headphones. They’re very subtle and don’t look “In your face”. If you like that sort of thing you will like these.

Sound Quality is quite good. Good bass, Good vocals and everything. Also these are very comfortable and lightweight. Ear cups are not the best will cause a little bit of sweating but it’s nothing major.

Noise cancellation is also decent for the price. Controlled by a button in the headphones but there is not confirmation of it turning on or off. You have to rely on your ears to figure out if the NC is on or off.

Battery life is excellent. You can easily go one week without having to charge these.

You can connect this to 2 devices at a time. You pause music in one device and play on the other these will switch over. Also if you receive a call on your phone while you’re using this on your laptop, These will switch automatically to the phone call.

Now to the things I don’t like , My minor gripes about these are that they don’t pause automatically when they are taken off from your ears (PX7s do). Also they do not go into standby or shut down when not in use (Again PX7s have this). But for the price I think it’s acceptable.
Also volume is not that loud. you need to have these around 80% volume to be loud enough (My testing device is an iPhone 11 Pro Max) (My PX7s are much louder and bass heavy than this but they cost more than twice)

Overall I think it’s a great pair of headphones you can buy for this price. I cannot think of anything better unless you want to exceed the 200 pound mark.
