Early days yet, but I am pleased with this 18/55 cordless hedge trimmer by Einhell. I chose this longer (55cm) blade to provide the optimum reach and cutting area. It cuts well with an Einhell 4.0AHr Gen 2 (compact) battery. It is much more convenient and faster to manage large areas of hedging or individual shrubs (compared to hand shears or corded trimmers). I like the two handed safety operation, and the rotating handle which provides optimum ergonomic operation when carrying out vertical trimming. Also like the black plastic blade guard, which is a nice snug fit. One star deducted for the difficulty when installing the small transparent plastic hand guard. Update 1: Used this trimmer to shape six more shrubs, it did a good job. Far more effective than hand clippers. The rotating handle provided more comfort for vertical trimming. I used a 4.0AHr battery, it still had two (out of three) lights on the charge indicator. This trimmer is going to be invaluable for keeping hedges/shrubs in good order.

It is easy to use. Light to handle. Cuts through branches up to 1 cm thick no bother. Took a lot less effort than using hedge cutters ,also gave a better shape when finished. Charge lasted better than I thought. Charged fairly quick.

Wow, after researching, reading reviews and looking at best affordable hedge trimmer, i found this one! Highly impressive, you know your getting a sturdy long term use out of german manufacturing material. This was a first time purchase of a hedge trimmer and I wish I invested in buying one years ago. Battery easy to connect, (don’t need to force) just slide to connect. I charged it fully before using it. Charging was easy will the flashing lights. Cuts hedges, twigs and about 5cm of branches. Even used it on a bit of long grass. 3 year Warranty when registered on thier website. Slightly heavy and not impressed on scrunched up box on delivery. Was worried it looked like a return, but checked the equipment and all brand new. Totally recommend it!

Bought this at a really good price in a sale so worth giving it a go despite not knowing the brand. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a real quality piece of kit, great build, light to hold and easy to use from charging to cutting. Gives a great cut and the battery seems to last forever. Better still the battery is very quick to charge. I would go as far to say it’s the best hedge trimmer I’ve had despite owning a number of big branded pieces of equipment.

I recently purchased this hedge strimmer, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Despite choosing the longer blade, it is still fairly light weight therefore reducing strain during extended use. There is a bit of assembly required, specifically for the handle, but it’s a straightforward process. The instructions were clear, and I had it ready to go within minutes. The blade is impressively sharp, which was a significant advantage when dealing with our tough, overgrown hedges. The cutting was smooth and efficient, saving me a lot of time and effort. I had previously used manual shears, so strimmer saved me so much time. For anyone who doesn’t want to spend all day cutting hedges by hand, this is the perfect solution. It turns what used to be a long, laborious chore into a quick and satisfying task. I didn’t buy a battery, as we had one from another Einhell appliance, making this even more of a valuable addition to our garden tool collection. Highly recommended!

Good battery, sharp blades and light weight. It’s nit that noisy either which makes you think is it powerful enough, probably not so because of the lower speed but the sharp blades do make up and at the end of the day its seems to have done its job easily.
