    Ideal for small lawn.

I’ve just planted a new laylandii border and needed a small compact mower for keeping down the grass around the trees. This little mower is ideal for the job and doesn’t damage the trees like a strimmer would.
It’s also great for the awkward parts of the garden that my big bulky petrol mower can’t get in to, it just glides with little effort and gets the job done. Saves my back too.
It has a metal blade, not the rubbish platic things usually found on lightweight mowers.
It has good power for its size and a good length of cable.
There are blade height spacers and a blade removal tool included.
It’s a doddle to fit together and feels sturdy enough.
    I recommend it, It’s brilliant

Light and easy to use. Powerful enough for cutting 6 inch length grass albeit requiring two passes. Worked well on uneven ground. Well priced and easy to manoeuvre and store.

  4. Rated 3 out of 5

Height only works with two spacers not three as bolt will not tighten when three used, handle will not stand up for wall mounting as holes that hold motor onto bottom of handle inot aligned so handle only goes to ”grass cutting” level, and no registration card

Perfect for my small front garden. Lightweight and just glides over the grass with no effort .

Perfect for our needs as we only have a small amount of grass in the front and back gardens. Super easy to put together, nice and light and good size for storing! Wouldn’t recommend if you have a medium to large garden (ours is about 6m^2 at the front and 4m^2 at the back)

Good lawnmower for my 8 ft garden.
Nice and light, easy to use, cuts well.

The weight of this mower is very manageable even for the less strong! For the price the Flymo 270 cuts the grass relatively evenly. I was disappointed that the mains cable is hardwired and that Flymo moved away from the safety-plug cable clip connection as we had looked to purchase a 20meter+ length extension- glad we didn’t.
We bought this as a resolve for the little/awkward areas in the garden that we can’t get the big mower in. Awkward corners of lawn and the front verge (although steep and uneven) cut reasonably well and with relative ease. Where the ground is uneven you need to expect to lift and guide the Flymo to some degree but on even ground the mower glides well. We have only initially cut the grass on the highest setting (un-adapted) and we’re pleased with how fine it trims and re-distributed the cuttings. We will try the spacers to shorten the cut next time so as to not scalp the grass In the summer heat. I don’t love the amount of plastic that it’s made out of, but glad the blade is metal and understand that the light weight of the mower may not have been achieved if it were other materials.
