Leaves grass all over your lawn. The plastic section that’s meant to sit snug inside the lawnmower sits high, blocking the grass getting into the bucket. Struggling to get customer support.

Excellent lawn mower gives really good cut.
Assembly could have been made easier. Took a while to assemble by myself.

I bought the Webb WEER40RR 40cm mower. I was surprised how much of it was made of what appeared to be flimsy plastic considering the price. Little over a year later a plastic fixing has sheered off resulting in the mower being useless. This section that is broken sticks out and catches in the grass/ground when pushed forward, see pics attached. I attempted to fix it myself as I’m not someone who likes to complain. The fix did not hold so I contacted Webb customer service since the product is covered by a 3 year warranty, another reason I made the purchase in the first place. I was told “After looking at the images and video provided, unfortunately, this is not something that would be covered under warranty. It looks as if it has been hit with a foreign object and would not be classed as a manufacturing defect.”

It is a manufacturing default if the product cannot withstand very simple use. This fixing in particular does not look strong enough.

Needless to say I won’t ever be purchasing a Webb mower again due to the shocking quality of the product along with the very unhelpful customer service.

Stay clear and avoid Webb mowers, spend your money elsewhere.

Not too heavy to push, even though it’s got a roller.
Stripes on lawn look good, because of roller

After careful research and waiting months for this to be back in stock I was left very disappointed. It had no issues with mowing but it was very poor at collecting the grass which rendered it useless for me. Returned after one use.

Firstly the mower arrived quickly, a day early which was fine, when delivered the box was damaged, however on opening the mower appeared undamaged.
When I started the build the mower it was apparent the book of instructions were not fit for purpose, I contacted Webb and they have acknowledged this is a current issue. Once built I cut my rear lawn, the positives are that it is light, and fairly quiet, however the mower did not leave stripes as I had hoped with it having a rear roller, this might be down to the fact it is a fairly light mower. The other disappointment for me was it did not pick up the cut grass as well as I had hoped, my lawn wasn’t long and grass was not wet.

Not easy to assemble but seems to work well

I am now eighty years old and my trusty Honda petrol mower is getting rather heavy to handle. I decided to buy a battery powered mower. The Hayter Hawk 36 seemed the best model to buy but a bit expensive at over £600. Then I chanced on this Webb electric mower at only £170 a real bargain and it had a roller for those all important stripes. Assembly was a bit fiddly but nothing too difficult. I used it for the first time today. Magnificent, it is easy to handle and the roller gives really good stripes, dare I say better than the Honda. If you are in the market for a new mower this is the one to get. Highly recommended.
