First cut: This is a lot better than I thought it was going to be. It cuts the grass, maybe not quite as good as my petrol mower, but not bad a all. The motor slows down a bit when confronted with thick grass. It also, as you would expect, slows down when the bag is full. When I bought this I knew the batteries would be the only real issue and I was right. I did manage the stated 480m2 on one charge and that was cutting very long grass. However my lawn is double that, so when I bought the mower I bought another battery pack. That way I can cut all of my lawn with ease. I went for a 3rd party battery pack at £49 for a 4hA battery. So, overall I am quite pleased. The battery compartment is quite large and I suspect you can put in a much higher capacity battery – if they exist. It also comes with benefits: it’s much quieter than a petrol. It’s is quite nippy! You don’t have to go to the petrol station to fill up the Gerry can. And it wont blow up with a huge bang like my petrol one did! It is a bit pricey but you pay for quality!

J’ai acheté ce modèle Greenworks électrique à batteries après une étude de marchés (tests Que choisir, sites Leroy Merlin, Amazon, divers) pour m’orienter vers un modèle à batterie pour ne plus avoir de fil à trainer (c’est très vite casse-pied de le surveiller pour éviter de rouler dessus) J’ai opté pour ce modèle GD24X2LM46SPK4X pour les points positifs suivants : – Largeur de coupe 46 cms – Autopropulsée (attention ça consomme la batterie, s’utilise très bien sans si terrain pas trop en pente) – 2 Batteries 24v mais surtout 4Ah chacune (le voltage est pour la puissance, les Ah pour le temps) – Bas de caisse en métal (+ costaud) – Option mulching (je ne me sers que de ce mode pour l’instant) – Guidon réglable en hauteur sur 3 positions (très pratique, je fais près de 2M) – Grosses roues (elle se déplace facilement sur terrain accidenté) – Différentes hauteurs de coupes. – Option « parking » pratique (penser à remonter la hauteur de coupe pour la faire rouler plus facilement)
Le déballage et montage sont très rapides, juste à clipser le guidon et charger les batteries). Après 3 utilisations sur mon terrain de +700m2, je la trouve très pratique et fonctionnelle. Elle fait le boulot, sans trop de bruit ni entretien nécessaire comme sur les tondeuses à essence (faut juste la nettoyer avec un chiffon). Les 2 batteries de 4Ah m’ont permis de faire environ 350m2 en une seule fois (sans autopropulsion), il restait encore 1/3 de charge. Après une nouvelle charge, j’ai pu terminer ma tonte facilement. J’ai commencé la 1ère tonte en ne déchargeant pas complètement les batteries suite recommandation constructeur et commentaires Amazon. Il faut les stocker avec entre 1/3 et 2/3 de batterie pour les conserver plus longtemps.
Le seul point « négatif » est le poids de la tondeuse (28 kgs) mais c’est du à sa structure en acier plus résistante et durable et c’est pour ça que j’ai pris ce modèle. Donc pas de souci pour moi pour l’instant sur ce modèle, à voir dans le temps. Je recommande cette marque vendue par Amazon car elle semble très fiable au vu des commentaires et tests.

I’m a 77 year old with arthritic “everything” and very large lawns with a slight slope, whose big name rotary motor mower is heavy and 20 years old. And I want to keep cutting my own lawns. This is a 46cm cut compared with my old mower’s 42cm cut. The Greenworks is brilliant. It’s light and nimble, and cut all three of my lawns easily on a single charge with power left in it’s two batteries. It needs a slightly different technique to turn it compared with the petrol mower because the clutch takes a moment or two to completely disengage – solved by letting go of the drive lever about two feet before the end of the lawn to give it time to allow me to pull it back a foot or two to turn it around. It drives perfectly up the slope, and the range of speed adjustment is excellent. I’d buy it again – recommended without reservation.

This mower came in a large box because this machine is heavy, probably because the main carriage is steel. Initial set up was easy and within minutes we were ready to go. I just needed to charge the 2 batteries. Charged the batteries in a couple of hours and installed them into the mower and away I went. The self propulsion is a real bonus with the machine being as heavy as a sack of spuds. It cut the grass quite adequately and quickly, one can alter the speed it goes so it will go at your pace. The closeness of cut has 5 settings too. I have a sizeable back lawn and a slightly smaller front and I manage to get two full cuts from each battery charge which is ample for me. I note in other reviews people complain it doesn’t have a roller but that’s no problem for me, the days of stripy lawns are well gone because I just can’t be bothered. Everything about the mower is well thought out and well made with quality parts as far as I can see. It is expensive, but when I look at comparable petrol mowers for a few quid less I realise this battery mower will require minimum servicing and no trips to the petrol station with the petrol can. No spark plug to replace and no messy two stroke oil to worry about. Is it worth the expense? You bet it is!

Lo tengo desde hace más de 1 año y me ha sorprendido gratamente. No tiene nada que envidiar a mi antiguo cortacesped a gasolina de 5 CV. Corta igual o mejor y es mucho más ligero, lo que me va muy bien pues lo utilizo para las zonas difíciles que no puedo cortar con el minitractor segador.
Lo peor sin duda la duración de las baterías (2 x 4Ah) poco más de 20 minutos trabajando a tope. Además en un año he visto que cada vez se calientan más y duran menos, se están degradando rápidamente con el trabajo duro. Solución: he “ampliado” las baterías con 6 celdas Sony 18650 VTC5A (las más bestias de las 18650) en paralelo,. Ahora ya no se calientan, sólo se templan y duran casi el doble. El inconveniente es que es un trabajo delicado y pierdes la garantía… pero a mí me ha merecido la pena. Además he comprado un segundo juego de baterías de 24 V x 4Ah con otra herramienta de greenworks y por fin puedo terminar la tarea sin tener que esperar varias horas a que se carguen las baterías.

Sono davvero soddisfatto di questo tagliarba: avevo un tagliaerba Honda a benzina e devo dire non lo rimpiango per niente! Il tagliarba elettrico della Greenworks è molto più leggero, si maneggia meglio, parte subito senza fare inutili sforzi (basta premere l’apposito bottone, tirare la leva di sicurezza e poi rilasciare il bottone), è molto pìù silenzioso, non ci sono olio e benzina da controllare, ha una buona potenza, che è regolabile, ma che il tagliaerba regola anche da solo a seconda dell’erba che trova (la aumenta automaticamente se l’erba è più fitta o più alta), è semovente, quindi basta tirare l’apposita leva e le ruote posteriori diventano motrici, agevolando la spinta del tagliaerba; le batterie hanno una buona durata, se però avete da tagliare un giardino grande, consiglio di prendere altre due batterie di riserva (io ho fatto così). Sono molto soddisfatto dell’acquisto che ho fatto e lo consiglio senza dubbio.

Firstly I’d say that this is a great product. I like that it charges pretty quickly (2-3 hours from zero) and although it’s a heavy machine, it’s easy to move around and to store standing up.
Its claim of cutting very large lawns up to 480m2 is certainly optimistic. The first time I had it out it managed around 80m2 but, to be fair, the grass was long and a little damp and I was using the self propulsion. Since then I’ve used it, pushing mostly, on shorter, drier grass and and have managed probably getting on for 200m2 using 2/3 of the battery. That’s not so bad because when I’ve done those two or three lawns, I’m ready for a rest before completing the remainder!
Very pleased I bought this and would do so again. It’s probably as heavy as my petrol hover mower but much easier to use and move around which, in my advancing years, is a great advantage. Having the power drive is good to help getting up the slopes and in a few awkward places but it’s no problem mostly pushing and saving the power for cutting.
Being so easy to use means I’ll cut more often which will improve both it’s efficiency and the look of my lawns.
Why not 5*? For me a thing has to be near perfect to achieve that, not just in the top 20%, but I’d happily give it 4.5 if it were an option.

Richtig gute Qualität, einfacher Zusammenbau. Ich habe jetzt 5x damit gemäht. 3x mit Korb und 2x mulchen. Beides funktioniert einwandfrei. Die beiden Akkus sind in ca. 1,5 Stunden wieder geladen und wieder einsatzfähig für das nächste mähen. 46cm Schnittbreite finde ich optimal. Das Handling ist auch für nicht so kräftige Personen Richtig gut 👍. Ich mähe damit ca.300 m2. Teilweise mit Antrieb, ca.30%, und habe noch Akkukapazität am Ende über. Von mir klare Kaufempfehlung.

Really pleased with the mower. Build quality is excellent, with large sturdy wheels and metal deck. I have only used the grass box so far which collects extremely well without clogging up like my old mower did. It comes with mulching plug and side shoot but i haven’t tried them yet. It’s self propelled which is a bonus as haven’t seen on anything else at this price and definately needed as its size and weight. The mechanism for adjusting the height of the deck is really simple to use. The batteries were easily enough for my 200m2 lawn. Can’t comment on its long term reliability but the given the build quality I’m expecting it to be good. The only downside is the weight, much heavier than the ones you see in the hardware stores that have plastic decks and can be picked up with one hand, however not too much of and issue as its self propelled and can be driven without the blade spinning. Overall its an excellent mower and has a lot of features that you wouldn’t normally expect at this price.
