Read the reviews and decided to order this one and so glad I did. Instant connection to iPad, no need to pair, good battery life and works perfectly. Such great value for money. Metapen customer service is second to none. I had an issue with magnetic attachment to a new iPad A16. Fast response to my email from Rosie who gave a detailed response and offered to send me an updated version which would solve the issue. 5* for both product and customer service from Rosie!

I’ve been using the Metapen A8 with my iPad and I’m genuinely impressed by how well it performs—especially at this price point. It connects instantly, no Bluetooth pairing required, and feels smooth and responsive whether I’m sketching, taking notes, or editing documents.
The pixel precision is excellent—no noticeable lag, and the tip glides effortlessly across the screen. Tilt sensitivity works surprisingly well for shading and more detailed work, and it feels natural in hand. It’s also magnetic, so it sticks to the iPad side when not in use (a huge plus for keeping track of it).

Leider fing er jetzt nach 3 Monaten an zu stecken und schrieb nicht mehr richtig, aber der Kundenservice ist einfach TOP! Sie haben mir innerhalb 24 stunden bei whatsapp geantwortet und mir auch direkt angeboten einen neuen zuzusenden! Ich finde super, dass da sofort gehandelt wird, mir wird die Arbeit erspart, den Stift zurückzusenden und ich bekomme einen neuen zugesendet. 😊 Bin super zufrieden und einfach Glücklich! Kann ich jedem nur Empfehlen! Wenn ihr ein Problem habt, dann schreibt sofort den Kundenservice! Ich hab bei Google Metapen eingegeben und bin auf die website gegangen und da sieht man dann einen QR code, den man scannen kann und sofort zu dem WhatsApp chat weitergeleitet wird! A great pencil that works really well with my iPad A16 and at a really great price.
However, the magnet to store the pencil was not connecting correctly and the pencil was sitting at an odd angle. When straightening the pencil – to sit in my iPad case which has a pencil storage slot – the connection weakened resulting in the pencil falling out. I contacted customer services and Rosie was great and sent a replacement pencil out to me very quickly. The second pencil was much better, it attached well and sat straight along side the iPad. But when using the iPad case, the alignment of the pencil to its storage area wasn’t quite right, so although it fitted the magnetic connection wasn’t as strong and the pencil can easily loosen and fall out.
Despite this, overall this is a great item which I’m very please I purchased, at such a great price and is working really well with my iPad. This company has really great customer service and I would not hesitate to recommend them. 5 Stars!

Actually blown away by this. I have almost no complaints since I started using this. I had originally purchased a different brand of stylus pencil for my iPad back in July when I got it. I recently had to buy a new one because the other one got water damaged. It was frustrating because I just had bought replacement tips for it. It was the best thing that could’ve happened. This particular stylus that I am reviewing is so much better. My husband actually found it looking through reviews on different products and I decided to take my chance on it because of the good reviews and I am so glad I did! This pencil is so much lighter than the one I was originally using. This one has more of a plastic lightweight feel but weighted enough that it’s comfortable in your hand but so much lighter than the other one. It is slightly bigger in circumference but again it is still much lighter. The tips do not fully connect to the pencil when you twist it so there’s this tiny visible gap. The gap is not affecting anything, but it’s the way you can differentiate this particular pencil from a real Apple Pencil. That doesn’t matter to me in the slightest, but I am just noting it so you do not think it is broken! Just sits like that once you feel it is secure, it is, it just has that tiny gap. The other unbelievably exceptional aspect of this pencil is it on and off method. I so far I’m not able to get the Bluetooth to connect to the complementary app it comes with, but it’s on and off feature make up for that. My previous stylus pencil took holding down and for lengthy periods of time in order to turn it on. There was no way to shut it off on my own either I had to wait for it too, and I would find it would constantly drain the battery and need to be charged. This is not optimal when I’m only using one charger for both pieces. This particular stylist pencil has a tap twice on tap twice off method and it is immediate. This is phenomenal! This is my favourite aspect of the pencil next to its lightweight feel. The other thing I really like about this pencil is it grips that is another highlight to me. It is a lot more grippy than the previous one maybe it has to do with the material it’s made out of? So much more efficient and easier to play my games and do absolutely everything with. I will not buy another pencil brand after this, this is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon.

Ho preso questa penna per l’iPad di mia figlia e, a differenza di tante alternative economiche, si sente che non è fatta con materiali scadenti. La ricarica USB-C è veloce e la durata della batteria è buona, con spegnimento automatico per risparmiare energia. La penna non richiede connessione Bluetooth o app, basta accenderla con due tocchi sulla punta. La sensibilità all’inclinazione è precisa, ideale per disegnare e prendere appunti con ottima definizione, anche se non supporta la pressione. I doppi magneti la tengono ben fissata al lato dell’iPad senza rischio di cadute o rotolamenti. Inoltre, la punta è molto resistente e viene fornita con due punte di ricambio, un bel risparmio rispetto alla Apple originale. Nel complesso, un’ottima alternativa di qualità superiore per chi cerca una stylus senza spendere troppo.

this pen is literally an amazing pen as its responsiveness of it is very quick and the design is more comfortable as if u want to use it for long periods of time it will still have a long battery life to go and helped me with gcses and even college as i have the apple air and that ipad is light and even the pen it self is light which doesnt make it heavy when carrying it in the bag as also the price is it is very worth unlike apple pen which is 100 pounds for a stander one and this pens value is like an apple pro with its features

Had this quite a while now and found it really useful. I don’t use this for art or sketching, more for scrolling and odd games. Worked exactly as described, absolutely no problems, charges quickly and the charge lasts me a long time. Used with new iPad no complicated set up. For my needs I couldn’t warrant the price of the official pencil, excellent value for money, can’t believe you get extra tips as well what’s not to like. Bargain!

I have had this pen for a year and a half and over the last few months I have been using it a few hours a day. It connects really well to the iPad and it is really useful for small detail work.
A few nights ago the pen stopped working mid use, no lights and it wouldn’t charge. I emailed customer services and Rosie was in touch straight away. She asked for a video to show the problem, and after acknowledging the fault had a new pen sent the next day. I can not fault the customer service received. I hope not to have a problem with this pen, but if I do I’m sure customer services will help.
