  1. Rated 4 out of 5

    Sam

Compact & Stylish Design. The stainless steel and grey finish gives it a sleek, modern look that fits well in most kitchens without taking up too much space.
Dual Cup Functionality: Can brew two shots of espresso at once, which is convenient for couples or small households.
1L Removable Water Tank. Decent capacity for multiple cups, and it’s removable, makes refilling easy.
Steam Control & Milk Frother: Works well for frothing milk, you can make lattes and cappuccinos. The steam control can adjust the pressure.
It comes with accessories: Includes a tamper and spoon.

Build Quality Could Be Better. Some plastic parts feel a bit flimsy.
While it makes decent espresso, it doesn’t always achieve the same intensity as higher-end machines. The pressure is standard but not as strong as commercial machines.
Getting the grind size, tamping pressure, and extraction time right takes practice. Poor technique can lead to weak or bitter shots.
Milk Frother Takes Practice. While functional, it doesn’t produce foam as well as more expensive steam machines.

⭐ 3.5-4 A good budget-friendly espresso machine for home use, especially for beginners or casual coffee drinkers. It’s not as powerful or durable as premium machines, but it offers decent value for the price. If you want café-quality espresso, you might need to invest more, but for occasional use and milk-based drinks, this is a solid choice.

Best For: Beginners learning espresso-making. Small households. Those who enjoy milk-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos). Budget friendly purchase.

If you’re looking for barista-level coffee machine this may not be for you.

First time I’ve had one of these. Works well easy to use once you’ve read instructions. Easy to clean. Coffee is great feels like you’re at a coffee shop. Not too noisy very impressed

    Sliding Sideways

First of all I noticed how sleek and attractive this coffee machine was. For the price I expected a bit more plastic but am very happy with the finish.

I hadn’t made “proper” coffee before but followed the instructions, did a bit of googling for some top tips and made some decent coffee. I do agree with other reviewers that the tamp is a bit plasticky and lightweight, something a little heavier would be much more satisfying to use, but it does the job (and helps keep the price of the machine very affordable).

The product description on Amazon states you can also use coffee pods. But nothing in the instructions talks about pods – what type, where they go and how to use them. I reached out to Morphy Richard’s and they advised the machine is compatible with ESE type pods (a bit like coffee bags) that can be bought online from many different manufacturers, but I haven’t tried this myself yet.

I wouldn’t call myself an aficionado but have enjoyed using this coffee machine, to make coffee for myself, friends and family. I love the feature to make two cups at the same time and have found it pretty easy and straightforward to the buckets.

I’m really happy with this machine, to the point I’m nearly convinced to get rid of my Nesprrsso machine!

This makes a nice Espresso, which I top up in a larger mug for a nice coffee. Easy to use, easy to clean. Nice for frothing milk up too

    Honest Reviewer

I was keen to try an Espresso maker for travel that provided better quality than the Nespresso machine I had been using previously without the bulk or price of the full sized machines.

This fits the bill perfectly. Set up was very easy. The manual was clear except for the fact it omitted to mention that the red ‘bung’ at the bottom of the water tank needed to be removed. Perhaps this should have been obvious.

There was also a label with a QR code attached which promised a set up video, but was in fact just a dead link.

Nevertheless, I was still up and running quickly and everything worked perfectly. Some of the parts like the portafiller and tamper will feel cheap if you are used to Sage machines, but all worked very well.

There was no leakage from the machine and it half filled a full-sized mug very quickly and without too much noise. A lot of coffee machines are far too noisy, but this is quite quiet overall.

I have not been able to try the milk frothing function yet, but the wand looks good quality and produced a very good amount of steam when I was priming the machine before it’s first use.
