This is my first Travelpro bag, and I could not be happier!
It is very roomy! My wife commented that I might have been overstuffing it at one point, but it kept expanding without becoming bulky. I suspect Mary Poppins/Tardis technology, lol.
It also just looks great. I got the all-black version, and it’s sleek without being boring.
The zippers glide effortlessly, and everything is extremely secure.

True to what you’d expect from Travelpro – the bag is beautiful and well-crafted. Unfortunately I am returning and giving four stars because the handles are oddly long and unwieldy. I can’t for the life of me figure out why they made the handles so long in comparison to other Travelpro bags/duffles of similar size. Everything else is perfection.

My go-to luggage is the Travelpro MaxLite 5 Rollaboard, but sometimes I need an additional piece—especially when checking a bag. A backpack isn’t always the best option, so when I had the chance to order the Travelpro Platinum Elite Soft Carry-On, I jumped at it.
Despite being incredibly lightweight (about 2 pounds), this bag is made of high-density fabric with a DuraGuard® coating, providing excellent resistance to stains and abrasions. I chose the True Navy color, which nicely complements my slate green MaxLite. The full-grain leather trim on the handles, zippers, and snaps adds a luxurious touch. The YKK® zippers glide smoothly and are known for their durability.
The storage options are well thought out:
A small front pocket with a magnetic closure—perfect for quick access to a phone.
A large external zippered pocket with multiple interior compartments and a key tether.
A long open pocket on the back, plus a zippered, padded compartment for a laptop. While technically not designed for it, my HP Pavilion 15 fits just fine.
A small interior zip pocket and an expandable side pocket for a water bottle.
For added convenience, the rear fabric strap allows the bag to securely slide over the handle of most rolling luggage for hands-free mobility. The handles can be connected for easy carrying, and it also includes a removable shoulder strap. Plus, the four large rectangular feet on the bottom help protect the fabric from wear.
While I’m not sure if this bag will come on every trip, it’s a versatile and stylish option—perfect for carrying my laptop when I don’t want to use a backpack.

Purchased for my husband – sturdy, well made tote with multiple handy compartments. 17″ laptop fits snugly in pocket but would recommend adding layer of protective padding if placing bag over handle of roller bag. Slim but holds more than the average computer bag, altho not as much as my Maxlite 5. Pricier than my durable Maxlite 5, but appears worth the investment
