Amazon Customer –
I was looking at bigger speakers like the JBL, but then I saw the reviews for this one. I am very impressed and very happy with my purchase.! It sounds like a Bose. The quality is amazing, and it goes very LOUD with no distortion. For a smaller package this thing Pumps it out and the light show is pretty cool as well. I was also worried about the look of this speaker, but after using it for the last 6 hours I am in love! LOL Nice Job Soundcore. 5 stars for sure!

Great speaker punchy bass and the lights are very good on the side of the speaker gets very loud and the fact of water resistance is also great
moneeb –
Stylish Speaker, powerful enough, fast connection, choice of lights colours and can be use with or without the Anker App. Recommended .
Ps; the fifth star may be added or not depends if the speaker pass the test of time in terms of battery and durability after usage….so time will tell.

Wanted a portable speaker for the garden, good sound and plenty loud enough. It was on offer when I bought it and definitely worth the money.

– FUNZIONALITA’:
La cassa ha 7 tasti impermeabili e tre retroilluminati (On/Off, Bluetooth e BassUP/Illuminazione).
Cassa super consigliata!

Got my Boom 2 today from Amazon. I am running it in at the moment. The sound is crisp and the bass is there. The bass seems to have a sweet spot of me being very close or being about 8 feet away. Anywhere in between the bass seems to fall into a black hole but this is most probably my hearing and placement of the speaker. Placement is very important to sound quality as I have learnt over the years.
The sound will get better when the speakers loosen up after several hours and days of playing.
I have the blue one as I think the black one would look too generic.
Playing ‘Who You Are’ from Jessie J. right now and her vocals are sharp and piercing like they should be. The bass drum drop is thumping. The lead guitar is there I cannot have this on maximum as it would burst my ear drums out.
‘Roar’ by Katy Perry always tests speakers and the Boom 2 passes with flying colours. The rumbling bass in this tune rumbles the desk, floor and everything in range from the Boom 2. The passive radiators constantly shaking. The light show going crazy. ‘Unconditionally’ – the Boom 2 has found some bass notes I did not know were there before. ‘Dark Horse’ by Katy Perry – just wow. The bass would re-arrange my internal organs if I let it. Passive radiators a blur like something out of The Matrix. ‘This Is How We Do’ by Katy Perry lead guitar and bass drum vocals subtle background all there and present.
The soundtrack to Braveheart with it’s nuances and raging majesty is all there with the Boom 2 (just for change in music styles).
‘Vide Cor Meum’ on the Hannibal Soundtrack is orchestral and emotional. ‘Interstellar’ with its organ and singular piano notes and rumbling bass in the background is perfectly presented here.
‘Turn Out The Light’ by the Investigators the Boom 2 drops the bass as it should be for lovers rock.
The vocals on ‘Lost Without You’ by Freya Ridings are heart-breaking as they should be.
I have the sound settings to SoundCore Signature with Bass Up and use PowerAmp with flat settings in that app. I know I could boost whatever I want with PowerAmp but just don’t need to.
One tune that it does struggle a bit with is ‘Venus As A Boy’ by Bjork. The bass is more felt then heard with this song as though there is a range that is playing that I cannot hear but is there. Or maybe it’s just my hearing and placement again as it sounds better from about 10 feet away. I reckon this will sound better once the speaker has been run in.
‘Unravel’ by Bjork is my signature song for testing any speakers and headphones. I had to stand up and listen literally. I have not head the vocals like that before from this song even though I have played it a thousand times. jeez it was like hearing it for the first time. One thing that the Boom 2 could not do is the floating bass notes from left to right speakers towards the end of the song as it needs further stereo separation to do that. But when I buy a second Boom 2 (the green one) I’ll have them set up in TWS mode and I’ll see how they deal with it then.
If you like ‘Unravel’ then there is only one cover version that comes anywhere close as the original – by Turkish artist Selan Ozan a live performance. The echoes of that live performance. You can hear the acoustics of that concert hall affecting the audio. The sometimes not perfect alignment of notes just makes it more perfect and it is all there in the sound stage wide and haunting. The mellifluous floating echoing vocals and the thumping electronic bass drum.
The Boom 2 it’s not just a bass head speaker. It delivers with the mids, uppers and vocals as well.
To summarise. It’s a great speaker that has already started to sound better after a couple of hours of running in. The light show is great for watching the radiators go off. It is light ad I have not tested how water proof it is. Two of them in stereo mode will be a blast and hopefully will sort out the bass stereo separation of ‘Unravel’ by Bjork.
I am fast becoming a SoundCore fanboy as I have 4 Liberty 4 NC’s, Space One, Soundcore 3, P20i and Life P2 mini. I did have problems with my first set of Space Ones but the second set are a lot better. And I just did not like the Q45’s so sold them. So SoundCore does it again. I’ll be amending this review when I have the second Boom 2 speaker paired to it to see how that affects the overall sound. And after I have finished running them in.
Also, I did have a discount code that failed on the SoundCore website when I tried to order the Boom 2 there and I informed them about it. They told me to order it here on Amazon and they would honour the difference in price and they have done just that. So brilliant customer service as well. Bravo
Edit 31/05/24 Got my second Boom2 in green from Amazon today using the £20 discount code. Paired the green one with my blue in TWS mode by pressing the Bluetooth buttons on both at the same time for 2 seconds which worked. But before that I paired the green one to a spare phone just to update the firmware and then unpaired it again. The second one cannot be paired to anything before setting it as TWS. Also, now when I turn them both on they automatically go into TWS mode so I don’t have to do it each time. (Sony could learn a lesson here)
One Boom 2 sounds brilliant. Pairing two together takes it to another level. Stereo separation is important to me and having two delivers on this in spades. But the sound is louder with 2 (obviously) so I don’t have to turn them up as much compared to when I had one.
I have been running in the green one today as it was sounding a little tight in the bass (same as the blue one when I got it but it is now rumbling sweet in the low notes). So now after about 3 hours the green one is now on par with the blue one.
I was toying with the idea of getting the Boom 2 Plus and having that paired with blue Boom 2 but I am glad that I did not as for less than the price of one Boom 2 Plus I have 2 Boom 2’s in full TWS stereo mode. 2 Sub Woofers, 4 Tweeters, 160w in total with bass up on – just wow.
‘Unravel’ By Bjork – floating bass between left and right now delivered flawlessly. Also ‘Funkin For Jamaica’ by Tow Browne – all sorts floating between left and right. Vocals on the right. Vocals on the left. Bass guitar (I think) floating from right to centre to left and back again.
Hell, maybe I’ll just buy the Boom 2 Plus for the heck of it. But when it comes to dynamic space filling spital sound it’s my two Boom 2’s in TWS. Damn. Soundcore. Jeez. Wow.

RECTIFICO EL BOTON BASS HACE TENER UNOS BAJOS DE LOCURA 10/10 mejor imposible

I got the Boom first, then the Boom Plus, and now Boom Plus 2. The Boom is very good and does what you would expect from a Soundcore 60W speaker which in very convenience I might add because of its size! Then I had to try the Boom Plus and Wow I was very impressed with it’s 80W output. I ended getting another to pair them up and the Wow factor really came in to play. One word can sum up my experience, “Awesome”!
So when I saw the the Boom Plus 2 I had to get one and the price was a key factor that was idea. With Soundcore you get to shelf quality from a mid range price! I was delighted with the Boom 2. It gives you the same output as the Boom Plus with a few extras. I opted for the blue version and it’s very eye catching in its design. It the same size as the Boom but far better in it’s presentation that looks like a beautiful speaker with additions of the light show etc…! Well done Soundcore you’ve done it again by producing a top quality item that always seems to get better and in quality and performance!

Oooosh!! The bass on this little speaker is infectious, I tested out some drum n bass and it pumps out the bass !! It’s loud too …
For £90 there’s no other Bluetooth speaker that’s a comparison. The overall sound is pretty good but it’s all about the bass if you love bass heavy music you gotta buy this especially if you’re into drum n bass , hip hop , house music .
