This is the holy grail of hoovers for those who have high piled carpets and pets!!!
So I’ve had a Jaws, he was a let down! I’ve had a Henry too- again brilliant on chimneys and very thin carpets just not such much high piled carpets and pet hair- I can’t move it forward just backwards- nightmare!
So to my delight, my mum took pitty on me ( I have been scraping my carpets on my hands and knees, for what seems an eternity!) she bought me this little beast of a hoover. Now, when it arrived I was like “hhm it’s a bit small!” Then the excitement took over of having a new gadget to try out! Super easy to put together! The silver handle part is unique- it grows and shrinks like Alice in Wonderland! Super handy for doing the headboard- yep velvet headboard full of cat hair- I didn’t take a before and after slightly gutted. Moving on, super light weight. I have fibromyalgia, to carry the hoover with ease is a dream as it is so lightweight it doesn’t hurt.
Now the cylinder is compact- it’s tiny. However, it devoured a living room dinner, hallway, landing and stairs and a bedroom before it needed emptying.
Easy to empty and it can fit in small places. Henry vs Akitas. Akitas wins!
Highly recommend!!! Also comes with a different head, brush and spare filter.

I brought this just on the reviews, I have a dyson but needed a new one my next option was a shark hoover than I saw this , I have 3 big rottweilers and their summer coat is coming so the dog hair is unreal ! The hoover is amazing ! Don’t be put off by the small cylinder ! This has amazing suction to the point I struggled to push it! I hoover today with my dyson , I used this as soon as it came and biy I was not disappointed! The hair and dust it got out of the carpet was unreal ! Like I said I literally hoovered today and thought it was spotless! This hoover brought my carpets up fluffy aswel the suction is that good ! Comes with good accessories, cable is long , the only reason it didn’t get a 5 is the length of thr pole , could be a little higher/longer , it’s very light weight aswel , not noisy at all , this is amazing for the money ! Amazing if you have dogs /cats highly recommend

“Lieferung – und da!” Die Lieferung des Akita Staubsaugers war prompt. Ja, gehört vielleicht nicht in die Produktrezension. Trotzdem klasse.
“Material – Geruch Fehlanzeige” Nach dem Auspacken habe ich erstmal die Nase an den Absaugschlauch gehalten, um ausdünstendes Plastik zu riechen. Fehlanzeige – das Material ist absolut in Orndung.
“Verpackung – alles Pappe, oder was?” Die Verpackung war einfach zu öffnen und die Teile sehr einfach zu entnehmen. Einzelne Teile waren in Folie verpackt. Die Turbodüse war separat verpackt wegen erhöhter Empfindlichkeit. Alles war mit Pappe so fixiert, dass nichts beschädigt werden konnte.
“Aufbau – bestimmt 5Minuten…” Nun zum erwähnten fehlenden Spaß des Titels. Einfacher geht ein Zusammenbau nicht. Schlauch klickt in Auffangbehälter ein. Metallrohr und Düse werden direkt auf das Rohr aufgeschoben. Hier wäre ein Klickmechanismus wünschenwert, der einfach wertiger wirkt. 5Minuten sind noch zu viel geschätzt – inkl. Auspacken passt eher.
“Funktion – so viele Knöpfe…” Hier wird es vielleicht doch etwas technischer. Es gibt zwei Schalter – Aus/Ein und Schnurrückholung… Die Schnur ist länger als üblich; dadurch vergrößert sich der Radius etwas. Beide Schalter lassen sich mit dem Fuß bedienen – schont den Rücken.
“‘Laufleistung’ – hier bin ich, hier bleib’ ich!” Bei den alten Staubsaugern gibt es merkwürdiges Verhalten bei Kurven oder Sofa-Ecken. Entweder kippen die gleich um oder weigern sich, hinter der Ecke mit abzubiegen. Konstruktionsbedingt hat man diese Probleme bei diesem Staubsauger zum Glück nicht.
“Trag’ mich und leide?” Auch hier sehr angenehm konstruktionsbedingt – leichter als die alten Staubsauger. Gemäß Gewichtsangabe gibt es wohl noch leichtere von diesen beutellosen Staubsaugern. Aber selbst die Kunden mit “5kg-Schein” werden hier kein Problem haben.
“Saugleistung – wurde aber auch Zeit!” Wie bei den Turbo-Düsen üblich, holen diese noch mal etwas mehr Dreck aus dem Teppich raus als die normalen Düsen. Die Turbodüse bei eingeschaltetem Gerät und ohne Kontakt zum Teppich lässt sich deutlich rotierend vernehmen. Auf dem Teppich wird es dann angenehm leise. Entweder ist die Saugleistung dieses Staubsaugers nicht von dieser Welt oder es wurde im Wohnzimmer mal wieder Zeit zum Reinemachen. Ich entscheide mich mal für Ersteres… ähem… Ok, also – macht sauber und das gründlich!
“Das Entleeren” Knopf drücken und in Mülltonne enleeren. Dabei wird auch feinster Staub aufgewirbelt, der sich am Gehäuse auch unten, außen statisch klebenderweise ablegt. Entweder mit einem feuchten Tuch direkt wegwischen oder abspülen und trocknen lassen. Der Auffangbehälter kann auseinandergenommen werden und komplett abgespült werden. Auch hier wieder keinerlei technische Herausforderung.
“Zubehör” Hier ist ein weiterer Filter mit dabei. Da kann man noch ein paar Euro vom Kaufpreis wieder abziehen.
“Resumée” Für diesen Preis bekommt man ein sehr solides, sehr gut funktionierendes Gerät. Wer noch einfacher Staub saugen will, kann nur noch zum Staubsaugerroboter greifen.

You know we’ve gone through a few hoovers in the last few years as the suction on my carpets hasn’t been good ( thanks to the diktats of the EU) and some models have been bulky and cumbersome. I spotted the Akitas last week and thought… German make……should be good. I read the reviews and decided I’d go for it. Wow… it’s a canny little thing, easy to assemble and certainly hoovers well. We have carpets in the Living room and bedrooms of our bungalow and this is adequate for our needs. The suction is great and we are more than delighted with our purchase. Also being able to wash out the interior is a bonus as it saves on purchasing bags. How long it will last we have no idea but saying that it didn’t cost the earth. Highly recommended.

Habe ausprobiert finde saugt super braucht keine beutel mehr es gehen alle teile die dazu gehören man wechselt den kopf aus staub oder anderen schmutz und lehrt ihn einfach in müll braucht man nicht mit beutel rumärgern bei neuen Staubsaugern bringt man Beutel noch her aber ältere Modelle schwerer habe zwei alte deshalb habe ich mich für dieses Modell entschieden habe es leichter ich als Mann bin zufrieden damit der preis passt auch . Ich entfehle es jeden so einen staubsauger der ältere modell hat auf eimal gibs die Beutel nicht mehr dann steht man da.ich brauche mir keine sorgen mehr machen.

I rarely write product reviews – in fact I can’t remember last time I did one. So – this vacuum cleaner is awesome for the money – it’s so good they should double the price as a minimum. My last vacuum cleaner was on O Henry at twice the price. This is twice as good. Before that I had Dyson’s and Vaxes at the top end of the market. This is better for basic cleaning. It’s a bit smaller but that makes it easier to use. It’s unbelievably simple to put together and to dismantle and clean. The suction power is great. I have a very fluffy dog and this cleans the carpet like no previous vacuum cleaner could. It transitions from carpet to hard floor very easily. I’m super pleased with its performance and its price.

J’ai acheté cet aspirateur pour remplacer mon Rowenta cyclonique silence qui après moins de 3 ans n’avait plus de puissance, et ce malgré le remplacement des filtres. Honnêtement je suis surpris, il a une excellente puissance, il est plus petit et prend donc moins de place, il est bien plus simple à vider, et ne parlons pas du prix qui est 4 fois moins cher ! Seul le câble semble légèrement plus court, et il est plus bruyant. Maintenant il reste à voir combien de temps il va fonctionner comme cela, mais au pire vu le prix je reprendrais un neuf

Just received this nifty little vacuum, and honestly I’m so impressed! The power and suction is amazing!Really good at tackling my cats hair. It’s lightweight, so really easy for doing the stairs and carrying upstairs. Supee easy to empty! Assembly was easy. I honestly think it’s better than the Shark hoover I paid hundreds for! Would really recommend this product. Can’t go wrong witg German engineering. Amazing value for money.

Very surprised…pleasantly so, I might add…I looked for a decent powerful vacuum that I could afford as we’re seriously strapped for cash. So. settled on this small cylinder Akitas vacuum cleaner to replace my stupid ones that had given up the ghost (one a Shark…the other, a Hoover…not cheap, by any means)….and, by god, the little thing is amazing! My carpets look incredible from using the ‘pet turbo brush’ which is basically a vacuum head with a roller brush…actually, the only one I could find. Really don’t understand why more cylinder vacuums don’t do this as they work a treat. I mean…all uprights have a roller brush, so why not cylinder ones??? The cylinder itself is easy to remove and empty and I can do at least 3 rooms without emptying it. It’s light, easy to manoeuvre and powerful. It has 3 heads…a roller ‘turbo’ brush head, a head for hard floors and a crevice nozzle with a flip over brush. Not only is it great for the house, but brilliant for the car! It is a bit loud but, hey, it seriously does the job. The only niggle….and it is a little one…is that the pipe to the head isn’t quite long enough for me and my poor old back. I’m quite tall so it’s not surprising but it would be great if it would extend an inch or more in length. Apart from that…value for money, amazing. Light to handle and carry. Very powerful and brings up the carpets really well….so… impressed, much…. And….we have bought a second one because we were so impressed with this vacuum! Fantastic value. Fantastic little hoover
