I am a little disappointed in this. I bought it to clean the stairs and bedrooms because my Shark, although it cleans very well, is very heavy and unwieldy. The Russell Hobbs is certainly small and light. It cleans carpets pretty well, and picks up bits. However, the lead and hose are on the short side and it barely reaches to the top of the stairs. The metal tube is also short: I am only 5′ 4″ and I have to bend forwards when using it fully extended. It would be uncomfortably short for someone much taller than me. The dust container is also small although, to be fair, that is clearly indicated in the product description. One of the wheels has an annoying squeak (which doesn’t affect performance), and the whole thing has a cheap, plasticky look and feel. I think this is ok for vacuuming small areas, and suitable for less tall people, as well as people who would have difficulty in handling a heavier vacuum.

I was replacing my old hoover from same brand and I’m so impressed with this one. It has much better suction and doesn’t wake up neighbours. If you hate those 2 pieces handles that always come apart while using – this one has 1 telescopic handle that can be adjusted to required length. Also, the little brush that always gets lost can be attached to the handle. It’s small but sturdy.

Great for small spaces and works just as well on carpet or hard floor. Picks up everything except long hair, but I’ve yet to find a Hoover that actually does that and doesn’t die. Long cable so if I use the right socket I can reach the whole floor I’m on without having to stop and switch. Easy to empty and clean, and is quite light to pull around. Has edging/crevice tools so it does great for the back of the sofa and in between the cushions too

Nifty little hoover with a great suction, for the price it’s very good!! Very lightweight, I was hoovering and looked around to pull it towards me and it was right there behind me 😆 the only downside I would say is the hose arm just isn’t long enough, I’m 5”3” and it’s slightly to short for me but manageable, if I was any taller I’d be at risk of back ache at bending over! Which stops it being 10/10 for me but other than that, a great buy for the pit ice!! 😊

It has good suction power. Picks up dirt really good but for something I rarely use it spoilt quite quickly. I cleaned the filter after first month as instructed but after then it started smelling like burnt paper. Even after unsuccessfully checking what the source of the smell was, it stopped working all together

Well, this vacuum uncovered some things I have been very unaware of.
I got the hoover this morning and decided to try it out on a rug that’s been in my flat since I moved in. What it managed to pull out of the rug within 5 minutes was vile, I had no idea how much dust was lurking in that rug. I’m renting the place and it looks like it was pulling stuff out of the rug that must have been there since I moved in.
There doesn’t seem to be much need for a pet adapter either, it pulled the cat hair off the rug with no issues at all, the suction is very good on this vacuum. I tried vacuuming another rug that I have my office chair on (so it doesn’t mark the wooden floor) and the rug was being lifted off the floor and dragged around because the suction was so good, I opened the airflow at the top of the hose though and that allowed it to move over the rug without issue but still picked everything up.
Really impressed with this, I got it on offer when it was £45 and it’s 100% definitely worth it, even at full price I’d still say it’s well worth it.
I have been using a tower upright vacuum, one of the ones with the small canister at the top, not a full size upright and as I have learned, that thing is pretty useless. I thought there just wasn’t much dust/dirt of the rug whenever I’ve used it but it turns out the vacuum just didn’t have enough power to get down to where the real mess was.
5/5 brilliant vacuum, it’s a very simple machine so I don’t see too much that would go wrong with it. If anything changes down the line then I’ll update this review but at this point I would 100% recommend it for a cheap vacuum that has the power to get the job done properly.

I absolutely love my mini Hoover! Coming from using a Hetty, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this little vacuum really impressed me. It’s compact, lightweight, and so easy to carry around, yet it packs a powerful suction that picks up everything in its path. It also comes with three handy accessories, making it super versatile for different surfaces and tight spaces. Cleanup after use is quick and simple. Perfect for everyday use, highly recommend!
