So far I love it, although my baby isn’t born yet. The reason I’ve only given 4 stars is because I don’t think it was made clear enough that it can only be fitted with the isofix base and not with seatbelts. I wanted to use isofix in our car, but I have a problem with getting my baby home from the hospital because my in-laws, who are giving us a lift, don’t have isofix in theirs and so I’ve no idea how we’re going to get home! It also rules out ever going in anyone else’s car if they don’t have isofix connectors. It would have been much more useful to allow both ways of installation.

Once the newborn insert is removed, the head cushioning forces the child’s head forward onto their chest – your better with a normal non-reclining carseat or the joie I-level which we started using once my son was out of the newborn inserts.

The car seat is extremely heavy! Like post-birth you might pull something heavy!!
Other than this, I like the lie flat feature as it means my baby can nap in the seat while out and about.
I also like the large sun canopy as it makes a good dark environment for baby to nap in and means I don’t need blinds on the car window.
I contacted Maxi-Così as the branded rain cover doesn’t fit well. They told me that they don’t make one to fit this seat, so I should look for a generic one :/

I ordered this car seat as it has the most reclining positions for a baby, and we commute a lot to see family. I can not fault this car seat, it is very easy to install with the ISO Fix base. The ISO fix base has made my life so simple, the car seat also attaches onto our pushchair which is a different brand, but we purchased some adapters. The only down side is that you can not fit this car seat into a car that is not compatible with ISO fix. So with some ISO Fix car seats you can use them with the base and without the base (seat belt) however with this one you can’t. I think it is perfect for maximum comfort for a baby.

The isize base with the isofix is very clear, if the indicators are all green you have done it correctly, if any are red you haven’t, which is really clear. The seat and base also have colour coded items (light grey) to press, push or pull and I would recommend trying all them first before introducing your baby to the seat so you are familiar with each function.
A few things to look out for, the red/green indicators for when the seat is fixed to the base can be difficult to see from one side you need to lean over or look through the other side to make sure all are green. Also the buckle for the shoulder straps pushes into the protector but can pull out when tightening the shoulder straps so I find it easier to push the buckle into the protector hold it with one hand and tighten the straps with the other. Finally the button to loosen the straps seems to be the only one not coloured grey it’s under a flap at the front, make sure you know how this works before using it

I bought this car seat in May and have ended up buying a different one. This one is sat doing nothing now, over £200 down the drain. Firstly the newborn insert is tiny. My baby was 7.7lbs born and the first photo shows how “pushed out” of the seat he is, his arms were squashed between the straps and the laterals and he just hated it. His head was also pretty squashed. There is absolutely no way this insert would last until baby is over 60cm as I was advised. He’s not even that yet and is twice the size he was in the first photo. If you take the insert out, the seat is incredibly hard and not suitable for a baby. It also makes baby chin to chest where you risk positional asphyxiation. Finally it is nowhere near lie flat when it is put on the isofix base. The base is poorly designed and means that the seat sits at an angle. You’re better off with the cabriofix without a base and you can angle it at the correct position. This car seat is not fit for purpose and the seller just wants to stall you returning it so now I am stuck with a car seat I cannot use.
