Good value shed and does the job it was designed for. Only problem is that it was quite fiddly to erect, the front section was in 3 pieces as opposed to one, once worked out it was a doddle after that. The window is not glass but thin flimsy perspex, could have done with being thicker
MR RICHARD BAILEY –
Was skeptical due bad reviews but came as said it would and all pieces were fine and fit as they should. The instructions were a little hard to follow but then again I’d never built anything like that before. All over very happy with Shed

Overall a very sturdy shed (6×4ft) for the price. I’d looked at numerous sheds to convert into a sauna that could hold a small woodburning stove.
I read reviews that said the panels were a poor fit, but mine fit perfectly. There are a few gaps between the shiplap planks where they have warped slightly … but that is to be expected on this type of shed. The windows are thin flimsy plastic inserts, however they are ideal for my intended use.
The only downside was the door hinges and locking mechanism were missing, the company quickly sent replacements in the post that arrived a couple of days later.

This I rely a starter kit that needs supplement and improvements. I bought it as a goose house, so needed it to be reasonable quality. The construction failed to even meet sic needs. The wood is so thin it literally breaks on movement. The panels are not square, pilot holes are a must or the wood will split. The floor is not thick enough for use as a shed, it has a lot of knots, prone to big gaps in between the slats. I would not trust it in any wind or rain.the window is complete joke. It is wobbly thin plastic more like packing not a window.
I have reinforced the floor anchored it to the subframe and lined it with plywood. Finally I reinforced the roof and he’d double lining then tin roof. Finally it is ok for the geese. Wouldn’t imagine any thief would struggle to get in the shed. A quick inspection would show ny thief the inherit structural weaknesses. Shame. Even though it is cheap, it still isn’t fit for any purpose as it stands. If this is all you think you need…buy a better shed.

Ordered one style with 2 windows arrived with only one sadly over said time to arrange return as I had to wait to get it erected by workmen before it was noticed
Very cheaply made product purchased different felt as that provided is wafer thin
Had a delivery issue which was my error I meant to send to daughters literally 2 minutes down the road but when asked for help they refused to help even though I was giving a months notice to change and even Amazon rep tried to get it sorted for me without success after being told it would be changed.
Not best assembly as they sent the instructions for a different design but workers managed to sort it out themselves
Best thing about the shed was it actually arrived the right size
I could go on but not worth the stress I would just say mine came from wickes same price and was a dream purchase compared to this one

Ok so to get a 6 x 4 pent shed in wood for under £300 you have to know it is not going to be the best quality wood and it will not be a craftsman solution. With this in mind the shed I bought is up and may actually be weatherproof. Below are a list of good things , bad things and things I wish I had known or see clearly now I have 20/20 hindsight….
Ordering and initial tracking was awesome. Arrived on the date it said it was due too, which was very quick BUT a key piece was missing. Both the driver and a note attached to the rest of the parts told me this but both also stated the replacement was on its way. It wasn’t, and after waiting a few days I phoned to check it was in transit. It wasn’t, a number of calls and emails exchanged the part was finally delivered some 3 weeks later negating all the previous good vibes about delivery.
I am not a tradesman or gifted DIY person but I was able to follow the instructions provided which are sufficient and plentiful. It’s a building by numbers schema and it works (there are some areas where a bit of trial and error is needed as well as adjustment to minimise some of the wood and build mis-shapes). There are plentiful screws and the parts matched the diagrams to a large degree.
The quality of the wood is as expected in a ‘value’ shed not great. The main struts are not necessarily straight and the featherboard in places is extremely thin but probably most annoying is the splits in boards where nails have been driven in and the very high number of boards with knot holes, some of which fell out during construction leaving holes all down one wall (the knot holes are repeated in every board in a panel making the whole wall full of holes and potentially weak). I found I had to structurally upgrade the shed with additional battens inside and fill each of the knot holes and cover with additional wood to make the panel weatherproof.
The door is an appalling fit, it is not cut square and has warped planks in it leaving huge gaps down the middle (I will probably replace it at some point along with the awful cabinet hinges which do not open beyond 35 degrees if installed as per the instructions). Again battening and filling the gaps helped it although it doesn’t look straight no matter how I fitted it and the door is too small for the opening which needed additional battening as door stops and weather shield.
The roof is OSB wood (wear gloves throughout the build but especially when handling the roof) and fits well. It was light enough for me to handle on my own and securing it to the panels adds additional and needed structural stability.
There was a roll of felt to cover the roof 4.4 meters long. It covers the 2 meter roof in 2 lengths but there is no room for error when cutting or securing. One thing I wish I had done was check the roll before accepting it as it was packed under the rest of the shed on the lorry and when I came to unroll it there were clear cracks in the felt where it had been crushed flat. Make sure you get a roll and not an oval shaped roll. The facias like the rest of the wood in this build are knotty pine but are better finished than the featherboard. Watch for knots mis shaping the facia (as happened with mine) I simply replaced as the request for a replacement went unheeded.
It is now up and finally finished but looked a bit unsightly so it was decided we would paint it. Make sure to brush the panels down before trying to apply any exterior coating as there is sawdust on every surface.
Things I wish I had done… Checked each panel for knots before assembling and not had to move some panels around to hide the poor aesthetics of a ‘holey’ panel
Had more scrap wood around (b&q do a recycle wood section where we gathered off cuts and rough wood etc for a charitable donation that was used to shore up and cover the worst of the quality issues.
Gloves for splinters,
Forgefast or other self drilling screws are a must (even pilot drilling every hole the screws provided split the wood so quickly and easily)
Brush the panels before assembly and check each panel in the layout so you can move them around before screwing any of them in. Fill the knot holes etc or cover with scrap wood before assembly in case they are hidden behind another panel etc.
In conclusion: the shed does what it states it is a box to house things in (I personally would not put in anything I wanted to be safe from adverse weather or anything valuable) but if you need a low cost wooden building to sit in your garden this will fit the bill.
Do I regret buying it? No. Will I buy another one? Probably not, I will probably take a shot at building one myself as the putting together of this one has shown me how easy it is and how I could make it much better using better quality materials although that will cost more, take longer to build and maybe have the same or similar issues/limitations as this one so its a balancing act…
