Disappointed in the log holder. Built last night and its unsteady, it also is too wide and the logs just fall through it. Very disappointing!

It’s okay but you get what you pay for right. We didn’t use the kindling brackets, too weak! Didn’t hold anything of weight but all in all, okay.

Arrived in a very damaged box that Hermes took their usual care with fragile items!?!
The frame was easy to assemble and looks great but the gap between the base bars is quite wide, Most logs just fall between the gap meaning that they aren’t off the ground.

We saw this in a friends house and bought one as it is a good size. Check the dimensions on other log stores as they are more sized for a doll house than actual use. Only issue is that the width of the log store is wider than my logs. I get 9″ logs and they don’t span the gap. I resolved this as my friend did, by cutting thin hardboard for the bottom and sides to keep the logs in which works well and also benefits from keeping some of the dropped bark off the floor.
