Perfect replacement. I’ve seen others that are slightly too long, but this one is the correct length. The part only lasted just shy of a year, though. Not clear on why, but something causes the cable to come into contact with a pulley or the belt and it shears mid mow. I heard a telltale sound after nicking the driveway with a blade. Kept mowing with that ticking sound thinking it was just an off balanced blade, but it was the belt tensioner.

As per usual the part broke mid mow. A couple days later the part arrived and I was able to finish the job. Quick and easy replacement.

I have a 15-year-old Husqvarna YTH-18542, 42″ riding mower. Parts are starting to fail. This particular part broke when I was just getting started on Saturday. Without it, I was stuck. I looked for a replacement online and found it here on Amazon. It arrived on Monday, and I finished mowing after work. Bada-bing, bada-boom.

On 4th mowing the cable broke. Spindles, blades, belt and pulleys fine. As Far as I am concerned it is junk.
