Hannah –
Great mower, it was cheap so I was unsure of how good it would be, basically I wanted a back up for a more expensive mower. Worth the risk, very powerful motor! Living in Scotland it can cut through anything, grass, reeds, rushes and bracken…real work horse. The fake alloy covers on the wheels didn’t last long but that’s not surprising the amount of abuse it’s received. I prefer it to my more expensive branded mower. So impressed with it
A nonny mouse –
I have been using this for several months and am pleased overall. Self-propelled this is easy to use, but it’s heavy to manouvre when you need to turn or pull back with without the self propulsion. It’s a workhorse that I use for a large area of uneven ground where it powers though. A slight downside is that it stops collecting very quickly if the grass is even slightly damp, or if you’re cutting from longish to short. It comes with a side discharge but it doesn’t mulch the clippings as I would have preferred – my fault for not realising that from the description.

Have used this twice so far without any issues. looks and works fine. Hopefully it will be just as good in the spring.

Overall no bad.
Quad cut is great, definitely. And not too noisy or too heavy, plus mower is self propelled. And comes with lots of cutting/mulching options.
BUT – it does not collect cuttings brilliantly and the collection bag does not compact them so fills up very fast as is not that bag (dont believe it is 60L). Also handle has 1 fixed position only with the foam grip very friable. So knocked off 2 stars for otherwise decent mower

The machine is fine until there is a technical problem. The customer service the company offers is appalling. I had a simple issue. The starter battery would not recharge and so I telephoned for advice. I was told that my call was very important. However I spent 55 minutes on hold only to be cut off. Clearly the company have insufficient agents to deal with customers. Another bunch of chancers I’m afraid.
The Nadin’s –
The first 2 lawnmowers were delivered not upright by TNT/FEDEX which resulted in damage to one and both covered in oil inside the box. In fairness the packaging is only just adequate but this is no excuse for the courier to ignore the Handle with Care and This way Up markings on the box. UKHS customer service (Konnor and Gabriel) in this regard though was excellent, eventually allowing me to collect a third as I was driving close to their depot. I could not have asked for better service, thank you again.
This machine replaces a 29 year old petrol mower, that still works but has been donated elsewhere, and it looks like it should do the job just fine and appears robust enough to have a good long life. Way better than anything I saw in the common retail shops and garden centres at this price.
It is quite large and heavy and assembly took a little thought to get the cables routed correctly so the handle will fold, so the instructions could be better. Also, I didn’t bother fitting the phone and cup holder. That said, after putting in the required amount of oil it started first time and every time after that without any problems, cut the lawn well and collected the grass as expected.
I’ll update if anything changes but highly recommended so far from my perspective.
Steven Robinson –
I recently purchase this a month ago, was a little unsure due to the mixed reviews however it’s been absolutely amazing. The initial setup is a little bit fiddly with the plastic console and although the instructions aren’t great with a little bit of logic it’s fairly simple to work out.
It doesn’t come with oil so make sure you fill it before using it.
The actual lawnmower starts first time every time, just remember to prime it and it makes cutting the grass enjoyable, the mulching works great and the self propelled features means you are a passenger for most of it.
Gail –
Easy start, great pick up, great on the long runs of the garden, a little awkward on manoeuvring in tight spots round trees and bushes. If you have a well open lawn it’s brilliant, if you have a lot of nooks and crannies you might be better with a size down mower. Overall Excellent!
