This was bought to replace an original Dolce Gusto machine but I was swayed by the added bonus of being able to brew with 4 other types of coffee pod/brew. It has turned out to be a superb investment as it brews great Espresso with many different methods

That’s not my name –
I’m not a coffee connoisseur by any means but I do love the convenience and speed of a coffee pod as I am able to start drinking it immediately and don’t need to wait for it to cool down. I love my Dolce Gusto machine and the variety of flavours they offer. However, I have often thought I would like to try some other brands such as Nespresso but as I was happy with my Dolce Gusto I’ve always parked that thought. I was therefore delighted to get the chance to try this machine which is compatible with not only my beloved Dolce Gusto but Nespresso, LOR and Mio. It’s also not just for capsules, you can also use your own coffee grounds in it if you prefer fresh ground coffee or want to use a specific blend although I haven’t tried this yet and it also takes easy serve espresso coffee pods, but again, I haven’t tried these.
It’s a black model, in a simple and modern design. The photos on the listing are a good likeness so what you see is what you will get. It is a little bit bigger than my Dolce Gusto machine but doesn’t take up a huge amount of space – not as big as a traditional coffee maker.
There are a lot of settings and choice so it might take some getting used to but please have a read of the manual when you get the chance just to see what it can do and don’t fall into the trap of just using one setting and drinking the same drink all the time. These branded pods are available in most UK supermarkets and high street bargain shops like B&M. I’ve even used the Dolce Gusto compatible pods from Aldi although it does say you shouldn’t but it was fine.
This 5-in-1 machine is a fantastic choice. It’s easy to use and gives you a lot of options for your daily coffee fix.

I was really keen to try out this coffee machine based on the ability to use a variety of types of coffee pod, along with ground coffee too. I haven’t come across the KOTLIE brand before but it didn’t put me off ordering this machine (EM-308A).
In order to accommodate the various choices of coffee sources, it comes with several different attachments based on your chosen coffee pod type. This provides a lot of flexibility for choices, but on the other hand, if you prefer one type of pod type such as Nespresso, the rest of the accessories will be surplus to requirement, thus generating a lot of waste material.
I like how you select the desired temperature level (cold, medium, hot) and you can also select the amount of water. However, I found with the water selector, the amount of water released was not proportional to the setting. I found there was either too much water volume or not enough.
I tested with Nespresso style pod and I was pleased with the taste and temperature, despite the slight frustration with the water selector. In terms of noise level, this was very similar to any other coffee machine of this type and it wasn’t too bad.
Overall, this is a good machine and is very good value for money. However, you need to consider whether having the choice of the various coffee pod attachments will be necessary for you, or whether you would be better just ordering a machine that accepts one type of coffee pod based on your preference.

This is a very compact unit given how versatile the options are, it will fit nicely in any compact space without using too much surface area.
Easy to setup and use without any complicated settings. I’m using it mainly with ground coffee and the outcome is fantastic.
Price is decent too, not the cheapest but good quality and value for money, would be happy to recommend.

¿Cómo lo hace? Con un kit de accesorios modular. Es decir, en función del tipo de cápsula que vayas a usar deberás colocar un soporte u otro. Para la preparación con café molido, también se incluye una cuchara dosificadora (con la que también podrás prensar el café) y filtros (las canastas).
Además, de preparar café de diferentes modos, también puedes hacer bebida con leche (usando cápsulas de leche), tés calientes, e incluso, chocolates calientes (usando las cápsulas y el adaptador destinado para tal fin).
Esta cafetera es ideal para familias con muchos miembros o para reuniones o fiestas porque con ella se puede preparar casi cualquier tipo de bebida y por tanto, podrá satisfacer cualquier tipo de necesidad. Se adapta a todos los gustos.
Puedes configurar la cantidad de bebida que deseas extraer y su temperatura desde el panel frontal. El soporte para las tazas puede ajustarse en altura.
Creo que el producto funciona muy bien, así que si estás buscando un artículo de similares características, te recomiendo su compra.

wenn man den Hebel runterdrückt, sollte man die Maschine mit der anderen Hand halten, recht hoher Kraftaufwand. Den Nespresso Halter musste ich entgraten, damit man die Kapseln wieder rausnehmen kann. Mit den Einstellungen Temp und Vorbrühen muss man experimentieren. Dann macht das Ding sehr guten Cafe und Tee.

One machine to rule them all – well mostly. My partner is a coffee drinker and absolutely loves this machine. It can take a range of pods from various manufacturers, including compatibles (she tested this out with Nespresso-compatibles as she’s not keen on buying Nestle) so she has a large choice. It doesn’t take Tassimo or Senseo, so check that it takes the ones that you like. It also takes ground coffee directly into its dedicated holder, so you can use your favourite ground/beans too without the need to buy and use separate re-fillable capsules/pods.
This is a good-looking machine with a small footprint for its size, as well as you only need one machine to cover several types of pods and ESE pads – though note that it only takes the 44mm ESE pads, you cannot use larger or smaller ones.
The intelligent design works by having different trays that slip into it to take each different type of capsules. This opens up the possibility of adding types later that aren’t supported at the moment. It also means that if you accidentally break one, then the coffee maker still works with other types. The trays slip in and out of the machine easily and smoothly. They are easy to rinse out between uses.
The instructions are very clear on how to use the different coffee options including the temperature and volume settings for each supported type. And you can also vary the temperature and amount of water according to your own preferences. My partner has used the same type of capsule with a small amount of water for espresso and a larger quantity of water for americano.
The only negative to-date is that there is no storage box for the separate trays when not in use and you need to manually take out used capsules which may be hot.
