At the age of 74 I go for everything light and cordless. This fits the bill. I have a hedge which runs the length of my small back garden and this does the job nicely. It won’t cut the thicker twigs but good for a thinner hedge.

I disliked the fact that customers are not informed that this product does not take a normal UK three pin plug and so another type has to be bought thus increasing the cost, surely this is sharp practice which is unacceptable in this day and age

Haven’t used it yet as weather has changed but can’t wait to use it. I did find the instructions a bit strange as it kept saying look at fig2 or fig3 but there was know picture or as they call it fig. Took a while to find where the charging port was without a picture.

Charges up quickly and the power lasted for more than an hour. Easy to change the blades – just click in and out. Cuts thin or soft plants easily – I used it to clear ground cover and to trim hedges. With anything too thick it’ll just jam up in the blade and stop it working so you just pull it out and try something thinner! There’s a safety mechanism so you can’t start it unless you’ve pressed both buttons. I would have liked a way to push something to hold it ‘on’ so you don’t have to keep pushing the button but for safety reasons it’s probably better not to have that. It does mean your hand aches after a while though holding the button and the machine. Great tool and great value, really useful for tidying up round the garden.

Absolute rubbish, lasts for 15 mins maximum and then goes kaput completely won’t charge and impossible to contact amazon for refund or replacement , don’t bother it’s crap
