Sergiu Lupascu –
So far, so good. The quality is AMAZING, it doesn’t overheat whilst gaming like the Lenovo LOQ did as the fans and outlets are superb. I use it specifically for gaming such as ETS2, Farming Sim, ATS and Skyrim. The sound quality is awesome, it took a while to set up which I thought was difficult in places but that could be user error. It is quite heavy but if you compare it to the Lenovo LOQ, it is lighter.

I’m loving the Acer Nitro V 16! It’s fast with the Ryzen 8040 processor and RTX 4070, so whether I’m working on school projects or gaming, it handles everything without breaking a sweat. The 16-inch screen is amazing for both study sessions and gaming marathons—super smooth refresh rate. Plus, the AI noise reduction feature is awesome for online classes or calls, keeping my voice clear and background noise out. The NitroSense software also helps me adjust performance to keep it cool during long study or gaming sessions. This laptop is a solid all-around choice, easy to use and looking amazing!

Bought a few days ago and so far so really good!
Easy set up, playing all my games on Steam 60fps at high or ultra with no lag, even the fans aren’t loud at all compared to previous laptops I’ve had in the past
Bigger than expected in person too, I bought it while on sale and well worth it!

Avoid at all costs. I’ve had this about 4months now and since day one the sound stutters and lags the game. I’ve tried everything to solve this and have no luck so im guessing it’s the laptop

Why did you choose this product over others?:
Fantastic laptop for the money. Handles everything I chuck at it. I bought it for working away from home but also for entertainment on those lonely evenings. Handles the most demanding games. I love it.

The laptop is a rocket. It will run every game in this world, not all of them in ultra, but it will with no problems. No noise, fast… but maybe I’m unlucky with my order. 6 days of use and the screen went black and never turned on, the only solution? I had to return it to have a refund and I have to buy it again. It’s been almost 1 week I returned it and still didn’t receive any refund. Once I get it, another week to wait. So, was I unlucky or the laptop has factory problems? When I get again the laptop I will change the review, until then, 2 stars for you 🙂

Great laptop for gaming. The quality is very clear and I have had no stuttering or lag issues. Screen size is very big but I would recommend plugging it in when playing as the battery does drain easily

UPDATE: Speakers Popping sounds
We spoke to Acer support thinking the laptop was faulty. They were useless so we ordered a second one to see if it had the issue. It does but its not an actual fault.
Something we have worked out ourselves – The speakers have a power saving feature – This means they turn off when no sound is playing. The speakers pop on sudden sound and then pop again a few seconds after a sound finishes. We kept both laptops as we need them for staff. Continuous playback of sounds are not affected.
Bought this for our design agency due to growth.
This laptop has double the cpu cores of our desktop and a better gpu coming from a 980ti and a 6700k.
So far the laptop is extremely fast, quiet and the keyboard and trackpad are great.
I’ve been running Skyrim to test things out and the fans stay very quiet on ultra settings.
The 16:10 resolution is great for gaming but not so good for web browsing as many websites use height percentage rules which are off slightly due to the extra height. It’s not really an issue and we understand it because we are web devs!
There are 4 exhaust ports and 2 fans which point downwards so I’ve been propping the laptop up slightly just to lift the fans off the deck. It’s not really necessary but helps improve airflow in general.
Ports are lacking after you have plugged in a mouse and keyboard or headset you will be out of ports. You will need a usb 4 compatible dock to add more usb ports or run more than one additional monitor. There are only a few usb ports. Again being the nerd that I am I have also ordered an nvme and usbc caddy for Dropbox.
Speakers are good for a laptop.
Highly recommended but don’t pay more than £850 if possible. Given the nvidia 5060 will be out soon.

This machine is a powerhouse. I’ve never used an Acer brand before, but I like it. It’s very fast, and the FPS count is excellent. Personally, my main issue is with the speakers. The quality is very poor—I expected more for £999. Perhaps all Acer laptops are like this? I don’t know. But I was able to make a compromise.
The other slightly annoying thing is the battery life. It doesn’t last long—just enough for one film, and then it’s dead. Of course, I get it—it’s a gaming laptop.
Overall, it’s a good machine and meets expectations.
