It’s a terrible Product. There is no NFC, not like description

At time of writing, I’ve owned this Amazfit Balance watch for almost a month. It is a replacement for a series 4 Apple watch. Initial impressions on opening the box was that it looked smart, a much nicer looking face than the familiar square looking alternatives. I downloaded the Zepp App and the watch performed a software update. it has since had a further software update. I advise learning the Zepp App and exploring its settings to get the best out of the watch.
Initially, I had problems getting notifications, but that was down to me not sliding the notifications bars for each App in the settings. Be aware however, that some Apps on your phone may not push notifications to your watch. I have two banking Apps that do not activate notifications to my watch. So it doesn’t really do NFC in the UK but I really don’t actually care about that to be honest. Apparently there are ways around this, but you have to do the research and involves using a payment card from what I understand.
The watch paired without issue to my iPhone 14 Pro and I’ve no issues whatsoever with connection dropping out. I make and receive calls just fine using the watch. For clarity, I use Esim, not that should make much difference.
The battery life in my opinion, is superb. On average, I get 12 days between charges as opposed to the barely 24 hours from my previous smart watch. I genuinely like this watch over my previous watch. I find it simple to use. As with all products, you absolutely have to take the time to learn it’s capabilities. I bought this watch from Amazon at a fantastic price during a promotion period. It is in my opinion, worth every penny over the more expensive alternatives.

To back that statement up, I’ve previously used an Apple Watch Ultra, Samsung classic 6, ticwatch 3 pro ultra etc. I was sceptical about buying this brand as I had tried a blip model a couple of years back and it was awful (but it was cheap).
The design is beautiful (I’ve gone for the black with silicone strap), it’s light, durable and looks the part. The slightly curved 1.5” screen is crystal clear with clarity of text with deep blacks, colours that pop and smooth transitions across the tiles and menus.
It has so many features, way too many, like a jack of all trades when it comes to fitness but these do not overwhelm – you can chose what to be notified about etc.
All readings are very accurate, comparison with a Fitbit band. Readings are also detailed and you can read more into them if that’s your thing. Maps and GPS are also very thorough.
If you receive a WhatsApp or text message notification, you can reply to them via zepp flow, a virtual assistant- simply dictate your reply and send. I’ve found its accuracy spot on. Flow can also set you reminders, appointments, change your watch settings, play music etc – meaning you don’t always need to be swiping and tapping for functions. It also has Alexa built in. The companion app is clean and easy to understand.
For around £200 it’s not cheap but neither expensive when you compare to other premium brands. Oh and the battery life, I’ve worn it solidly so far for 5 days and it’s used 20% battery – what’s not to like. Very highly recommend

Quickdraw –
Starting from NFC pay options – as everyone else mentioned you cannot use it out of the box you need to register with external parties which for me it’s no go so NFC pay is actually usless.
Battery life, that’s actually decent not as good as my GTR2 but quality of the screen and other parts of the watch are much better. Still with Bluetooth all the time on and connected to my phone I can get easily 7 days with all notifications on. As watch only it will last way longer
Performance is much better than any other AF watch I own. No lags, no jerky screen all as smooth as butter.
Build quality – best details and feels way more premium than any other watch in this and above the price range. This is my main reason to own those watches they feel extremely well made. Body of the watch is superb + battery life and you cannot go wrong.
Apps, fot features all there and good accuracy but I don’t use it for sports – I enjoy sport without gadgets 😉
Fits well in wrist and wristband lasts forever but again is easily changeable if you wish too.
It would have been 5* but the NFC payments is big selling point of this watch yet I do not wish to share my details with 3rd party companies. This at least seems to be a problem in the UK done know about rest of the world.
Eyesonly –
Design e Display
* Pro:
* Cassa da 46mm dal design elegante e moderno, adatto sia a contesti sportivi che casual.
* Display AMOLED di alta qualità, generalmente con buona luminosità e colori vivaci, per una leggibilità ottimale anche all’aperto. (Specifiche esatte variano a seconda delle versioni, ma la tendenza è positiva)
* Possibilità di personalizzare il quadrante con diverse watch faces.
* Contro:
* Le dimensioni potrebbero risultare eccessive per polsi più piccoli. A me sta a pelo.
Funzionalità Fitness e Salute
* Pro:
* Ampia gamma di modalità sportive preimpostate per il tracciamento di diverse attività fisiche.
* Monitoraggio avanzato della frequenza cardiaca, del sonno (con tracciamento delle fasi del sonno e della qualità della respirazione), SpO2 (saturazione dell’ossigeno nel sangue) e livello di stress.
* GPS integrato per il tracciamento preciso degli allenamenti all’aperto.
* Funzioni di analisi dell’allenamento come VO2 max (consumo massimo di ossigeno) e Training Load.
* Integrazione con app Zepp (molto ben fatta) per un’analisi dettagliata dei dati raccolti.
* Contro:
* L’accuratezza dei sensori varia a seconda delle condizioni. Consiglio di confrontare i dati con dispositivi medici professionali per una maggiore precisione, soprattutto per quanto riguarda parametri come SpO2.
* Segnalo occasionali imprecisioni nel tracciamento del sonno.
Funzionalità Smart
* Pro:
* Notifiche di chiamate, messaggi e app dallo smartphone.
* Controllo della musica.
* Pagamenti contactless tramite Zepp Pay (non è così difficile come molti fanno credere!)
* Assistente vocale Zepp Flow (con supporto a diverse lingue, tra cui l’italiano, e in espansione).
* Contro:
* L’interazione con le notifiche è limitata (specialmente per chi ha iOS)
* L’ecosistema di app di terze parti è meno sviluppato rispetto a Wear OS o watchOS.
Batteria
* Pro:
* Molto buona autonomia, che può variare a seconda dell’utilizzo (con GPS attivo, uso intensivo delle funzionalità e rilevamenti salute sempre attivi non sono sceso sotto i 9gg)
* Contro:
* I 14gg sono raggiungibili usandolo solo come orologio ed escludendo tutto il resto
Software e App Zepp
* Pro:
* App Zepp completa per la gestione dello smartwatch e l’analisi dei dati.
* Aggiornamenti software continui che migliorano le funzionalità e correggono eventuali bug.
* Contro:
* L’interfaccia dell’app a volte poco intuitiva, con a volte troppi dati.
Prezzo
* Pro:
* Rapporto qualità-prezzo buonissimo, offrendo molte funzionalità a un costo inferiore rispetto a smartwatch di fascia alta. Io l’ho pagato 126€ in Amazon Warehouse, probabilmente uno di quelli restituiti da chi non ne ha compreso appieno il valore.
Conclusioni
Pro:
* Design elegante e display di buona qualità.
* Ampia gamma di funzionalità per il fitness e la salute.
* GPS integrato.
* Buona autonomia.
* Prezzo competitivo.
Contro:
