   This is the best hoover I’ve ever purchased. The suction is amazing, really strong and picks up everything! Superb quality and price, better than the top name hoovers I’ve previously had. Lots of gadgets too 😍

   I would say the suction power is good at collecting dust. Easy to move with long cord. Assemble of part is oki, can do by your own. I bought this when I was in my hold place, mostly to vaccum the sofa and the mattressess. Very less carpet area in that home. So it was good for small area. The area we moved is fully carpeted, so the capacity of the cylinder is not enough. We need to clean the filter each time when we moved to clean another team. If not the suction power is not enough. That is the only downfall. Apart from that I would agree not a disappointment for the price.

   My need was for a hoover to use at a second address while it’s up for sale as I didn’t want to travel back and forth with the cordless Dyson and its base station for charging.

   I’ve found AmazonBasics products generally supply a good product at a good price. This gets even better if you are able and willing to wait for a regular sale event, which I did.

   Now this looks like the old corded Dyson I used to have before regular use meant it got replaced by my current cordless model. But it does not compare on the features and extras. While you get lots of attachments they are pretty standard affairs with no spinning parts. Suction also does not match my old Dyson or current cordless model.

   But suction is far better than models that were popular 15 years ago and by a long way. It has everything you need to do every part of the house. It’s easy to use and empty and does a good job.

   And for the normal price point I would say it’s great value for money and worth buying. For a sale event it’s a bargain, which for my need was what I wanted.

   So yes you can spend more and get more bells and whistles which would help but are not necessary. Yes you can spend more and go cordless or buy an upright with same or better cleaning potential. AmazonBasics in fact do those too.

   But for a good product which does a good job on a budget, and still looks good (in so far as any vacuum looks good) this ticks the boxes. I just wish they had them at this price for this quality when I first moved out of the family home to live alone some 30 years ago rather than the more expensive option I had then which did not do as good a job.

   I dont usually by hoovers on the internet, but this one is really darn good for the price, the suction is so good and gets through every nook and cranny, really basic and simple to operate take apart and clean. I highly recommend this item if you don’t want to fork out hundreds of pounds for something that basically just needs to hoover up dust and hair and fur.

   Moved from Dyson(wired) to Shark (battery) and back to this Unit (wired).
   Very happy. It is very light, nimble and easy to move around yet has amazing suction power – way better than Shark and right up there with Dyson.

   OK the components (plastic bits etc) do not look to be anywhere near the quality of Dyson. But I can buy this model every year for 15 years and still be quids in!
   The brand/budget value for money debate will run forever. On this occasion I’m in no doubt – the budget option is winning hands down.

   At the price point I wasn’t expecting a huge amount, however I was pleasantly surprised at how powerful it is! Having had Dyson Hoovers in the past and deciding that these overpriced products are over rated I thought I can’t go wrong with this! Worse case scenario was that I would have wasted £40 odd. I have to say I’m impressed with the power and the accessories plus the ability to lengthen the pipe so the risk of back ache is reduced. Worth every penny and if it only lasts a year then it’s less than a pound a week and I’d just buy another one! Easy to empty and clean the filter as it all comes apart in a matter of seconds. Not heavy either. My only issue is that the pipe is difficult to store but that’s the same with all these types of hoovers

    What can i say except this is a really cheap hoover worth every penny. yes it does stuck your dust, dog hairs evrything up. it’s amazing for the price. this will lift your carpets as it lifts the dirt. dont be put off by the cheapness or thinking that its useless. I’m in my 70s and this is a genuine review. and struggle to hold a stick hoover now, but this hoover really is excellent.
    What have you got to lose except all your cobwebs and winter dust and dirt.

    I briefly used one of these when clearing up after a DIY afternoon at my friends house and thought it looked a handy little vacuum cleaner. It is compact, manoeuvres easily behind you (like a little 🐶), not heavy, but is really quite a powerful machine. Very pleasantly surprised and would recommend. My friend is emigrating and loves hers so much she’s taking it with her. My one wish would be for slightly longer cable, but vacuum cleaner cables are never quite long enough 😉
