Any reviews less that 5 stars are crazy. I added an 8tb ssd, using the pre-installed 1tb for program installs only. It handled the extra storage flawlessly. I have multiple windows open all the time. I’m a graphic designer. From the beginning I bought a small fan that it sits on, the same dimensions as this pc, so that I never worry about overheating. I plugged in my bose speakers via USB-c, and away we went! People giving this a poor rating because they’re heavy gaming just isn’t right. Those games require graphics cards. They need to get a separate graphics card and a docking station. This pc would run that flawlessly! Windows 11, well, meh, the jury is still out. But that’s not this pc’s fault.

3 years ago I started exploring NUCs. The problem with a lot of NUCs seems to be the noise from the cooling fan once you put a load on the system. My old beelink core i5 handled loads ‘ok’ for about a year until some micro dust got into the fan. Then the noise started.
After manually cleaning the fan twice, it became obvious that (for my needs), I needed a unit with more airspace and ASUS has the extended box. It’s been used now for many weeks and only vary rarely do I ever hear the fan with excel & word open, a browser and other applications. If you can swing it, core i7 or better plus extra RAM is the way to go.
