Acquistato il modello Summit X3 della Babyjogger ormai da 1 anno, posso fare una valutazione.
Volevamo un passeggino per andare con il bimbo un po’ ovunque nelle vacanze estive in montagna, senza compromessi. Ha un telaio tubolare molto resistente, l’ho caricato anche oltre il peso massimo dichiarato e non abbiamo mai avuto problemi…Non è esploso!!
Nonostante un peso a secco di 12,7 kg, che è tanto rispetto ai passeggini c.d. leggeri, in città si conduce da solo, è molto facile da alzare la parte avanti per salire, ad esempio, un marciapiede.
PRO: In salita su asfalto a pieno carico (provato con bambino 18kg + 2 zaini) sembra sempre leggero. Merito delle ruote grandi e i cuscinetti che fanno andare molto scorrevoli le ruote.
Ammortizzato sia davanti che dietro, ha il freno di sosta che si mette e si toglie con il piede, e il freno sul manubrio tipo quello di una bici utilissimo per rallentare il passeggino in discesa. La ruota davanti è bloccabile con una leva, utile sui sentieri molto accidentati o con sassi sporgenti.
Ho parlato di strade, per l’uso quotidiano, ma lo abbiamo provato anche in montagna sui sentieri sterrati e in mezzo al bosco, senza problemi.
CONTRO: Il peso 12,7 kg e l’ingombro (63 cm di larghezza) per qualcuno possono essere un problema.
Il peso, non si sente quando lo spingi ma è da considerare se ad esempio ogni giorno lo devi caricare/scaricare dall’auto o trasportare chiuso per un qualsiasi motivo.
Occupa molto spazio nel bagagliaio, le ruote però sono a smontaggio rapido quindi comode da inserire e togliere.
In conclusione, è un passeggino nato per le famiglie con un bimbo piccolo che non vogliono rinunciare a fare trekking nei boschi o su strade sterrate. Passeggino ideale anche per caricarlo di tutto l’occorrente per raggiungere a piedi un prato dove fare un pic-nic. Usarlo soltanto in città è sprecato, ovviamente va bene perché non sente i marciapiedi, le buche e tutte le varie sconnessioni delle strade, però per trasportarlo in macchina occorre un bagagliaio più grande di quello di un’auto utilitaria, oppure si può metterlo sui sedili posteriori.
