The BLACK+DECKER Electric Hedge Trimmer is a fantastic tool for gardeners, offering powerful performance and easy handling. It’s lightweight and reliable, making hedge trimming a breeze. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved.
The mini saw feature, intended to enhance the trimmer’s versatility, ends up being somewhat ineffective. It doesn’t perform as expected and can actually reduce the overall utility of both sides of the trimmer. This feature seems more like an afterthought rather than a practical addition, and it might be better if it were omitted or redesigned for better functionality.
Another issue is the blade cover, which is made of weak plastic. It’s quite difficult to put on and take off. A sturdier and more user-friendly blade cover would be a significant improvement.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the trimmer excels in performance. The motor is powerful, effortlessly cutting through thick branches and hedges, saving both time and effort.
Overall, the BLACK+DECKER Electric Hedge Trimmer is a great value for its performance and ease of use, making it a highly recommended addition to any gardener’s toolkit.

Bel engin mais pas adapté aux prises françaises . Bonne qualité, semble costaud , mais pas adapté au marché français car dispose d un raccordement pour prise anglaise et l adaptateur n est pas fourni .Pourquoi le vendre en France ? J aurais aussi pu faire plus attention de ne pas commander sur Amazon uk !

Seemed heavy when I unpacked it but feels so light and easy to use when in action. The cable is more than long enough for the job I needed to do. It cut through branches more than 2cm thick with a bit of encouragement and left the hedge looking nice and tidy. Only used once so cannot comment on blade durability.

Wow – this was way more powerful than I expected but in a good way. Our hedges have become overgrown in recent months and we needed something with a bit of oomph (good word oomph) and this has it in spades.
Even on the thickest hedge we have, it demolished it in seconds. Superb for the money, does the job and the only downside was the vast amount of hedge cuttings we had to tidy up!

Good delivery. Easy to use, works well , cuts branches up to about 10/12 mm , as described in brochure, which is pretty good for electric, lightweight tool. The saw feature on the front edge is a bit of a gimmick and not particularly useful.

First what I liked was the colour, bright but not Gordy, the next like is the mini saw “as part of the hege cutting action ” , nice when you need to cut those branches that’s thicker than your thumb. Next like is the way it feels, balanced your not struggling to hold it up. Next like the reach of the blade it’s long enough but not to long. The other like is the cable secure that will stop the tugging of the cable out of the unit it self which would cause damage and malfunction, and it makes it easier to carry if you need to go up a Lader to get to the top of a hedge top or a Bush to just clip it back ” stowing the hedge cutter over your shoulder ” with the cable over your back. I did spray with a wd40 for protection on first usage and sprayed again after finishing . Then put on the plastic sleeve job done put it away, now looking to see what needs a good clipping. Conclusion a very nice tool and not to expensive and good enough for your average garden.

I can only compare this with my 20 year old bosch and my neighbours machines. The lead is so short it is a waste of time unless you are going to use it on a window box. It does trim the hedge but nowhere as effectively as my old machine. As for the saw element on the end – I have tried to use it but haven’t found any twig or branch it will cut. Instead it is nuisance when cutting close to the ground as it wont trim the hedge and instead it keeps hitting the ground. Would I buy this again – No!

Malgre les photos en indiquant prise UE, la taille-haie est arrivée avec prise UK! J’ai dû me procurer une nouvelle prise pour l’adapter au système de prise UE-France et également régler une extrémité de la rallonge qui n’est pas adaptée au type de prise. Je ne l’ai pas encore utilisé, mais les commentaires des acheteurs au sujet de la fonction de scie sur le bord avant sont inquiétants.

Was never a big black and decker fan for tools etc, but i have to say this is an excellent trimmer, fine weight, well made, nice length cable and blades are really strong and sharp. I was really surprised with this item and has changed my mind on black and decker. Recommended

Leider kein EU Stecker. Stand auch leider nicht in der Beschreibung. Deshalb muss ich erst einmal einen Adapter bestellen, bevor ich die Heckenschere ausprobieren kann.

This was a great purchase for me I am yet to find out how long it will last I will then update review if I need to but so far it has had a couple of uses and cuts very well. I have a lot to cut all the time. The saw part of this however, is useful but blunt after 2 uses, it now struggles to cut thicker branches.
The rest of it still cuts perfectly and I would still recommend this product but don’t rely on the saw I have given it a 4 star because of the saw getting blunt so quick and easily plus it does get in the way when you are trying to cut close to a wall when you don’t need the saw as it stops the normal cutters getting to the area you need it to.
Over all it is a great product, very well built, easy to hold and makes the job so much easier and faster.
