Does the job, but not the best. Wish I’d paid that little extra for something that gathers the grass so I can put it in the bin and has longer blades. These are small and plastic. So it does the job but tales more time and effort

I gave this one star as it doesn’t let me give less. I purchase this as a replacement for the cheapie lawnmower previously purchased from one of the Low priced supermarket about 10 years ago. Also a lightweight hover. This heavier more expensive mower is not in the same league. The other had a support bar in the middle of the “handle frame” this did not, so very floppy. The wing nut screws to fix the 2 frame parts together, unlike the other, the ” nut” shaped side does not slip onto the frame, so when you turn the wing nut the other side turns with it. Finally it hovers beutifully but didn’t cut the grass. I reversed the blades, which made next to no difference to cutting height. It still didn’t cut the grass. I took it to the tip and dumped it. Total waste if my money. Not what I expected from a company like Black and Decker. Couldn’t return it, as I had destroyed the box it came in. Not expecting to have issues with this branded mower. The cheapie lawnmower was superior in every way. Very disappointed.

This Black and Decker hover mower is easy to use and does the job. I have had two other mowers, one broke down and with the other the battery didn’t work. Black and Decker is a well known name.

Used for slightly uneven ground due to its ‘hovering’ action. The spinner plate and plastic blades can easily be damaged behyond repair. After 4 or 5 uses and breaking all the removable blades, I had to find a seller for a big box of blades and 2 new spinner plates, as reserve. This is my second mower of this sort, as previous one’s motor quit. Just be aware of its limitations and avoid rocky ground or long grass, dry or wet. Am happy within limitations aforementioned. Note, replacement mower had a UK 3 pin plug!!!
