I already had 2 black and decker batteries so opted for this mower that comes without batteries. So far so good. Easy to put together out of the box.
Very light to use. Has a little vent on the back of the clippings box to show air flow.
3 lights for the blades. Folds up for storage.

Easy to assemble, so easy to use better than having to mess around with extension wire & not always making sure u don’t run over cable I have a large garden back & front so I bought the rapid charger to go with it as the smaller chargers I had took for ever to charge but the rapid charger no time at all so I got my gardens done in no time, so light & easy to manage too well worth buying

I bought this Black & Decker lawnmower as I am heavily invested in the 18V battery packs, so bought the [2 x 18v] version, without batteries, for a decent price (I think I paid around £120). Note that there is also a [1 x 36v] version.
It’s a bit of a toy though. If the grass is anything other than bone dry then it clogs up and jams very very quickly. The duct to the grass collection box is the first to clog up and then the blade jams shortly after and the motor stops. You then need to clear it all out. This can happen several times a minute and is incredibly frustrating.
Also, I have a fairly small garden and I can’t even do half of it before the batteries die (this is using official B&D 2.0Ah batteries)
Overall I see this as a fairly poor purchase as it simply isn’t up to the job in hand.
Update:
You can extend the time before clogging by taking just the tips off the grass. So if you have long grass then you would cut it slightly shorter, on maximum cut height. Then reduce the cut height and make it slightly shorter, and so on. But try to cut slightly long grass short and it will immediately clog up. It just isn’t up to it.
Also, keep an eye on the little flap that shows if you are getting airflow, and the moment it drops then empty the box. Otherwise it will clog and jam very soon after, as mentioned.
Run time is significantly improved by using official 4.0Ah batteries, and the battery compartments do have clearance for these.

Easy to assemble, lightweight and great battery life. This is ideal for a small garden, and would work well on a slope, because it is light and easy to move about. It’s also very quiet compared to a petrol driven mower.
