I’ve got a large garden with boundary hedges all around the front/side of my house so I use a hedge trimmer regularly (outside of bird nesting season) but having to run extension cords can be a pain so I’m pleased to have this cordless one.
Because it’s currently bird nesting season I haven’t been able to test it on the hedges, but i have trimmed some bushes and grasses and it’s impressively effective for a cordless tool. It’s cuts cleanly with minimal fuss, and easily shapes the foliage nicely. I appreciate that you get a baffle to ensure you catch all the branches but the baffle does tend to slide which can be irritating, I also like that a blade cover is provided.
The battery charges fairly quickly and lasts about 25 minutes, it would have been nice to get a second battery as I’ll have to do the hedges in three shots until I buy a second battery. The charging cable is short but that’s not an issue for me. The unit has enough power to cut through reasonably dense foliage but it does begin to struggle as you get towards the end of the battery charge.
Overall I think this is a good quality, well made, and easy to use hedge trimmer. It has enough power to satisfy me and is decent value. I will need to purchase a second battery which is an extra expense but for the price I think this is a worthwhile tool which I would happily recommend. 4*

You can’t ask for top of the line at this pricepoint.
For the price, though, it delivers good 40 minutes of battery life and decent construction.
It’s just good value for a cordless and convenient trimmer.

This arrives well boxed and you will need the supplied screwdriver and screws to fit the safety handle and guard plate. Don’t forget to charge the 2Ah 20 volt battery with the supplied charger which indicated charging with a red LED and green when its fully charged while you are fitting the handle etc.
They also include a leaf guide which you can use to sweep the leaves from the top of the cut hedge while you work.
I gave mine a brief test, its bird nesting season so no hedge cutting allowed, its not noisy and made short work of the small area I cut with it.
The blade is 55cm long and will cut to 15mm hedge size. The blade sleeve to cover it when not in use seemed to me to be a little short for this cutter as I had a gap left when it was fully on.
Overall its a nice looking tool, its not too heavy, shame there is just 1 battery as the recharge time is several hours.
It comes with a 2yr warranty and I will be pleased to put it through its paces once nesting is over. It was priced at £49.95 at review time which isn’t expensive.

Okay so you get what you pay for. Overall the product is great and does what it says on the tin. Charges quickly and battery will last about 30 minutes but the power rate significantly drops after 15 minutes of use meaning it’s only good for light jobs
