    Awful product, tried to use it for the first time today as I’ve been waiting for decent weather to get going on the back garden. It worked for about 2 minutes then stopped working and wouldn’t do anything. It then switched on for a quick burst approx 2 seconds and stopped again. I had high hopes for this product as it would be exactly what I need if only it worked! I will have to return this product as faulty.

    Apart from being a bit heavy I STILL award it 5 stars!
    It cut through a thick 7 FOOT TALL HEDGE EASILY!!! NO “ladderr” needed and with it being “cordless” i could walk around freely!!!.Easy assembled the battery charged quickly and didn’t need charging again after 30+ mins!!! .

    This machine is great value, cuts fine, and is very easy to set up. At full extension it does get a bit top heavy but it is hard to see how the balance point could be shifted, unless you add weight to the base of the handle, and that would make the overall too much heavier. The trick is to use it in short bursts. I use a normal size battery trimmer for most of the hedge and just use this for those hard to reach, high up, places

    The trimmer is as described. Charging time is short but so is the battery life, no problem for the small jobs planned and good that it has two batteries. Quite heavy when fully extended, but generally quite easy to use. Does seem to be reasonably well made for the price, although struggles with any thicker stems.
    Arrived on time but courier could only deliver at the time determined, not when they arrived, so they were sat outside for 15 minutes.

    Peadar Hill –

    Having two large hedges that are outgrowing me and are too tall and wide for me to reach with normal clippers I decided an extendable pair of clippers with the added advantage of being cordless was the answer.

    PROS:
    It came with the battery already fully charged (a nice touch)
    It was easy to assemble with no tools required
    The adjustments for the angle of the cutting blade and the extension of the pole are very easy to apply
    CONS:
    To activate the machine you need to press the main trigger AND hold down the trigger lock at the same time which is very awkward. Allegedly done for safety reasons but I can’t see how it improves safety and is just annoying
    The blades keep getting jammed on anything over a simple branch and if you’re wearing the harness you then have to disentangle yourself before you can un-jam the blades.

    So, overall it’s OK and relatively cheap and is easier than attempting to cut the hedge whilst tottering on a ladder but it isn’t as powerful as advertised and is a bit awkward to use so 3 stars seems fair.

    Update :Sept 2024…After 15 months of use (summer only) it’s stopped working. I would have expected a longer life?

    Great product. A little heavy once extended…but does exactly what it says. Easy to assemble. Had more than enough charge on arrival.
