Good value for money, but doesn’t have much power. Our main requirement is to cut back our Laurel Hedges which it is perfect for. But it wouldn’t cut through bigger branches on our mid sized conifer. Worked fine on the top and sides to keep it tidy. Very light weight so perfect for me as a 5ft and “getting on a bit” woman. And been cordless is a 100% advantage over our previous hedge strimmer.

Good hedge trimmer, worked pretty well bearing in mind it’s operated with an 18 volt battery. Disappointed with delivery as the driver seemed quite happy to leave the package outside my parents’ front door in full view and anyone could have taken it. Amazon – you need to improve.

Marre de mon taille-haie thermique de + de 5kg, je me suis lancé dans la recherche d’un taille-haie fonctionnant sur batterie et disposant déjà de plusieurs batteries 18 volts pour mes outils Bosch, ce model à rencontrer toutes mes attentes. Il fait le travail comme un grand et ne faibli pas même après 30 min d’intense utilisation. Allez-y….

Pues dejar la valla un poco presentable, sobre todo por el lado del vecino, era un si o si. Así que para que nos llevemos bien y no haya malos rollos tocaba comprarla y poner orden Con este cortasetos ha sido fácil dejar bonito mi lado y decente el lado del vecino. Es fácil de manejar y lo cierto es que tampoco gasta demasiada bateria asi que lo hicimos en una mañana y todos contentos Como medida de seguridad tienes que accionar ambos pulsadores. Cada uno en un lado que es por donde agarras el aparato y así nos aseguramos que las manos están donde deben y los dedos a salvo.

I bought this cordless cutter as I don’t like having cables around for this type of work. Hadn’t bought a cordless version of this before so wasn’t sure how good it would be. I’d read the reviews on here and the majority were good and they weren’t wrong. I am very pleased with its performance. It made light work of a job I’ve been putting off doing. Providing you don’t try and cut branches etc. of 3cm or more thickness then this will cut through easily. It took me longer to clear up than the cutting itself!! I would definitely recommend.

It’s great for general use in a “normal” sized garden. If you have a bunch of Bosch batteries just get it. I had 4 from various drills, which made it a no-brainer when it came up on offer.
It’s not especially fast, but it cuts well at it’s own pace, weighs very little, and unlike my old one will never cut it’s own cable. I have yet to wear down a 2Ah battery in a single session, but they charge in an hour or so anyway so if you have more than 1 then battery life is hardly ever going to be an issue.

My garden has a hedge that’s about 40 feet long and six feet high and several shrubs of different varieties. To trim them I have always used shears and a new pair had become due. But seeing this Bosch battery powered hedge cutter advertised at only twice the price of a decent pair of shears I decided to buy it instead. What a good choice! It’s lightweight, easy to use and sharp. It easily cuts privett, box and quite ‘woody’ shrubs. I find the blade is just the right length in that it doesn’t overbalance the tool. It also makes it easy to shape shrubs. The capacity of the battery is enough for all the work I have to do and delivers sufficient power without the hassle of trailing cables, extension leads and the inevitable cutting of the power line. I’ve owned many Bosch products and this seems as well made as others. I am confident it will last. If like me you don’t have another Bosch battery product make sure you buy the option with battery and charger.

I am so unhappy that there wasn’t a charger nor a battery. I now have to buy these items before I can use this item. This information was not very clear. Had I known, I would never have purchased it.

Easy to use and copes well with slightly thicker branches too. We have used it on a very old Jasmine type of climber and it coped very well. If anything I found it heavy on the first prune because the bushes and Jasmine were so overgrown. With regular prunings, it felt much easier to use. No regrets here.

I gave up on my Karcher hedge trimmer in the end due to its poorly designed and expensive batteries. I had three batteries fail just outside the 12-month warranty, they could not repair them, and I was not prepared to spend another £70 on a new one. This Bosch hedge trimmer is lightweight with a cutting blade length suitable for the general cutting back of hedges and bushes in the garden. The battery that came with it is quick and easy to charge and easy to slot into the hedge trimmer. I already have a cordless Bosch grass trimmer that takes the same battery (and another spare battery) so I can vouch that the batteries hold their charge well, are reliable in use, and I have had no failures in nearly 4 years. The Bosch batteries are also around £39.
