I was expecting great things for this mains powered hedgecutter, being twice as expensive as a typical equivalent. It is somewhat cumbersome to use as it comes with a massivly thick and heavy power cable that just gets in the way. I have never seen anything like that before and is totally pointless. I shall replace it with the light cable from my last cutter. The motor is quite powerful, but struggles to cut through thicker branches over 8mm diameter, which my last inexpensive cutter managed easily. The blades do not seem particularly sharp and are quite roughly formed. They shall need to be re-honed soon. Unlike the husquvana, there is no indexing ability to manually move the blades for cleaning, so switching the device on and off to open the blades is a pain. Feel miffed that this pricy cutter is designed badly and does not live up to either the hype and my expectation.

I bought this to replace a husqvarna petrol hedge cutter, this is much lighter and appears to have a sharper cutting blade. It is very quiet (compared to other mains powered hedge cutters I have seen). Other reviewers have complained about the connector plug being unsafe due to falling apart when using – I thought the same when I first connected the plug as it detached at the slightest tug! However, after pushing the two connectors very firmly together, they connected with a click and are firmly together and will not come apart accidentally.
We’ll see how well if performs at the weekend on my garden bushes.

Excellent, replaced a cheap one that couldn’t do the job. Took four foot off the top of an extremely overgrown hedge with ease using this bad boy. Good for a heavy duty job. It cut through branches an inch thick. But i would still recommend getting a lopper too, to preserve the blades. Comes with blade cover. Very long blade as well which helps so much with reach. Recommended if you need something a little more robust/large for those big jobs and/or high jobs. Good price for what you get really, considering how much my cheaper one struggled with the job that this one had done within ten mins.

We liked how it coped with thick stems, we were unsure how it would perform as there was not a lot of reference to how it would perform when cutting thick stems but several comments on the connection coming off, it did come off once but that was over a long period, it did not really bother.me. the long lead was useful. overall we were extremely impressed and would recommend it. Sturdy, quite heavy compared to less powerful trimmers, long blade.

I like Bosch products and when my old hedge cutter died I wanted a Bosch replacement. It’s a good size for reaching hard-to-get bits, a nice cutting/sawing capability and feels quite light to use and manoeuvre. Very pleased with the purchase

We have a very large garden.
The wider teeth spacing allows to cut through larger branches with ease, combined with the longer blade has made cutting our hedges so much easier and a lot quicker. Have used on Yew, Laurel, Box, Beech, Hawthorn, Elm & Field Maple so far.
I have had no issues with the larger connector which some have mentioned.

Very effective super powerful hedge trimmers. I’ve used them on a variety of hedges and bushes, but I can easily turn into Edward Scissorhands…..love them. Make a job much quicker.
