Dispositivo color argento cromato e cover in pelle marrone.

I have a brand new Macbook Pro, 10.8.3 and purchased the Bose speaker from Amazon two months ago to be able to play music via Bluetooth, after all the speaker is sold as a “Bluetooth Mobile Speaker”. As a music lover, I got very excited about having two state of the art products working harmoniously together to produce the best quality sound without any cables. UNTIL, we noticed a clicking sound coming through the Bose speaker when playing music via Bluetooth (doesn’t do it when playing iPod connect via AUX). I rang BOSE support- they took me through the reset procedure (hold Mute button down for 10 seconds, unpair and then repair devices, restart computer etc etc). Thought it had solved the problem. It did for a while. However the clicking sound returned- almost like the sound you get when playing a scratched CD when it starts skipping. I rang BOSE Support again. They took me through other tests- playing via Smartphone bluetooth (appeared to be OK), checking the format and the bit rate of the song I was playing (all OK), checking the latest Bluetooth software I have on my Mac- (all fine too), taking the power source away and testing the proximity of the speaker to the computer- it continued to click whether it was near or far. Bose have now agreed to take the speaker in for repair. However I have been told that if no fault is found, I will have to take it to an Apple store and troubleshoot the connection via the Genius Bar. My stomach aches at the thought of this. I will update this post once I have received a response from Bose. Meanwhile, I wanted to let others know about my experience and ask if anyone else has had similar problems to post here. I only found one other reviewer on the net who had described exactly what I had experienced: http://tech2.in.com/reviews/speakers/bose-soundlink-wireless-mobile-speaker-review/241232 (see ‘srimurugan_bala’ post under COMMENTS). I wouldn’t mind the clicking sound if the product had only cost £50- at least it would be useful when connected to an iPod via AUX etc. However, Bose prides itself on producing the best quality sound and its products are priced accordingly. The last thing I want to do when I play music is feel that gut sinking dread when a beautiful piece of music is destroyed by a technological glitch, or the embarrassment when that happens in front of my friends.

Arrived next day, opened the box plug in the mains charger, switched on, paired my iPad .
And in 2 minutes I’m listening to my favourites tracks in beautiful quality sound, it’s great a packs a room filling punch!
I bought this to link my tv output in my motorhome so we’d have a decent sound as you’d expect most LCD tvs have really poor speakers and decent volume.
So being able to use this for the tv and our iPads wherever we go is brilliant. I already have bose products and one thing you can rely on is this product is great quality made and great sound quality. It never distorts.
I’m using this in the house while I’m cooking etc, etc, etc,
Yes it costs more than other cheaper brands but they are exactly that cheap! And sound empty.
This is a one time buy for ever product! Being a musician as well confirms what you hear that sounds really good is usually a bose! How many times have you experienced a load of cheaper units stuffed in the loft or garage because they didn’t really deliver that quality you were after but couldn’t describe until you heard a bose.
ps, I don’t work for bose in any way I’m just a fan of the product and spent my money wisely!
Save money and get the grey nylon cover model !
I know have my mac, 2 iPads and two iPhones all synced. Simplicity and great sound.

    Ho

This item was bought to replace Bose 2.1 computer speaker, which was used to play music.

I was quite sceptical about this product as it looked like a gimmic, so I’ve compared this with other products such as B&O, B&W and Dr. Dre (which was quite terrible!). Out of all the portable speakers, B&O came well on top for me; clarity and it didn’t sound like a bass-box. Then it was this Bose.

I then had to choose whether to go with Bluetooth or WiFI (B&O works off WiFi), and I chose bluetooth for it’s simplicity and the fact I can use this without cables & WiFi network.

It was excellent choice! It sounded better in my house then the shops (more enclosed & etc), and although battery life could be better (I think around 6 hours), it is very very reliable indeed.

Thing to note is that with Bluetooth, when you start stretching the range between device and speaker, it starts to “bend” the note.. but then you are going to get that with all products.

Also the unit is actually surprisingly heavier than i thought! It’s not big.. but solid and heavy-ish! but build quality is excellent as you’d expect from this price tag.

I use against my Samsung Note, and it’s brilliant; the only slight inconvenience is due to the way the unit manages power, after several hours of inactivity, it is not possible to initiate connection from the phone, but only from the device..

Lastly, the colour; black or White would be my choice.. the chrome was no-no for me… white (which is what I bought after speaking to Bose telephone support) looks much much nicer in real life! Shame Bose doesn’t have picture to show it properly!

I jotted down questions i had when I was picking this device.. Hope this helps!

Bose polarisiert.

Was bleibt unterm Strich?
