I bought the Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) and I’m really impressed. The sound quality is excellent, clear highs, strong mids, and surprisingly deep bass for a compact speaker. It feels very solid and well-built, and the waterproof, dustproof design makes it perfect for outdoor use. The buttons are tactile and easy to use, power, Bluetooth pairing, volume, and a multi-function button for play/pause, skip, or voice assistant. It connects quickly, and the speakerphone feature works well for calls too. Battery life is solid, and the built-in loop is a nice touch for carrying or hanging. Overall, it’s a powerful, reliable portable speaker with great features and usability.

Great… but just not quite fantastic.
As others have grumbled on Reddit….The Sound link Flex 2 makes a rather loud and unsubtle “WHOMP!” sound when you turn it on, it connects to a device or if you simply plug it on charge. Not so great when you want to be discreet.
There’s no way of disabling this in the App settings and after speaking to Bose technical support…it’s normal and cannot be disabled at present. Boo 🙁
Hoping perhaps a future software / firmware update will make it an option to disable or at least turn down the “WHOMP” (c’mon Bose this would be SO easy!) as apart from this annoyance the speaker sounds great, battery is good, charge time is quick, water resistance is perfect for the shower and it looks and feels premium as you would expect from Bose…
…just that ruddy…. “WHOMP” urgh :/

Loving this speaker 🔊 the sound is wonderful even on a high volume
I have a number of bose products so I felt assured that this would be just as awesome
The size is okay, it is a little weighty so bear that in mind if using for airline travel
It is exceptionally easy to use, Bluetooth connectivity was very straightforward.
The battery life seems very good, I have not had to charge it again since the initial charge – I have used it for approx 1 hour daily so far and it is at 80%. It is supplies with a USB charging lead that will work via computer or plug

These speakers are the best money I’ve ever spent. Wanted Bluetooth speakers for mobility around the house and something compact and these fit the bill perfectly.
The sound is absolutely amazing and I have heard new instruments on tracks I have played hundreds of times before and the sound is sharp with outstanding depth and breadth.
We live in a normal size 3 bed semi detached house and I only need to play my music at the bottom of the volume range to fill the room with sound.
My advice would be to purchase 2 speakers as I did to get the benefits of stereo sound by linking them as the difference in sound when playing on 1 or 2 speakers is like night and day.
At first I thought that they were a little too bassy for me but realised that this is only on certain songs and playing either soul tracks recorded in stereo or orchestral/ classical music is out of this world.
I have had more than my money’s worth out of these speakers within a matter of weeks and continue to do so on an almost daily basis.
Can be linked to smart TV but I had a bit of lip sync but I didn’t buy them for that purpose so no issue for me and in any event TV settings can be adjusted to alleviate that issue.
Charging time and usage time are better than what Bose advertise so can only conclude they err on the side of caution in their claims.
I’m one very happy man.

WOW! This is absolutely amazing this speaker. Choice of colours and so easy to use. The app has more support and assistance and the look and feel are so sleek and you can certainly see they have designed this perfectly.
The price is as expected. You pay for what you are getting – GREAT Price and the size is perfect for taking it everywhere you need. For me to the Maldives for the chalet and the beach 🙂

The best in this range if you prefer sound quality over bass. I’ve compared this to the:
1. JBL Charge 5: bass-heavy but very open-feeling for regular songs.
2. Tribit XSound Plus 2: comparable sound, especially considering it’s half the price of the competition, but anything above 40-50% volume and the sound gets distorted.
The Bose SoundLink Flex II gave me the best sound quality among the three; all instruments were clear, and there was a good sound profile. Not the greatest battery life, but good enough for my use.

Bought as a replacement for a broken Soundtouch10. Mainly for indoors use it has an excellent clear sound that comfortably fills a room at under half volume and an easy setup. Power on and connect via Bluetooth. Found I didn’t need the “Bose Connect” app to adjust the EQ settings, in fact this app couldn’t find the speaker. Instead I just use the entirely different Bose app. and that worked first time. Great quality and a decent price with very fast delivery.

Great sound. We use this in the garden. Easy to connect via Bluetooth even for a novice like me. The green colour is lovely. A great little addition for our gathering outside. We are more than happy with our speaker
