Absolutely fantastic small speaker with a lot of bass. It is just as described, perfect for the garden which is what we purchased it for. Very easy to set up. From the weight you can tell its great quality & its nice & compact to move it around. Beautiful sound. I would very highly recommend this speaker if you want a small portable speaker with a great sound.

I bought this because the Sonos speaker I bought some time ago disappoints. This is smaller but the sound quality is very much better – as ‘What Hifi?’ Recommends, I’ve turned the bass down a bit (I listen mainly to Classical and Spoken Word). If you are a bass fiend, this won’t disappoint. The sound is full and rich, clear in the treble. The volume is awesome; it fills my high-ceilinged Victorian rooms without trying.
About the size and weight of a housebrick, it is solid and waterproof. The handle makes it easily portable. Very easy to pair with ipad.
I’m delighted by this. Am tempted to buy another one so I can pair them for stereo.

Beautifully made. Nice simple quality design rather other speakers which look like a tacky disco box. Sound is epic. Huge base. You’ll need to turn it down with the eq in the companion app. App is ok, limited but that’s all you need. Option of being able to pair 2 for even bigger sound but I don’t think you’ll need too. I had a SoundLink mini before which epic but this is 3 times louder. Battery is great and you can even charge your phone from it. Is it worth £400 at release last year? No. But you’ll find them for £300 here on Amazon on prime days and that is a good price for what you’re getting. I also love the fact that it’s waterproof dust proof and impact proof and you link it to your Bose home system if you have one.

On the first release, I was contemplating on buying it because of the price. I ended up with the Marshall Mid and months later this came on sale. I really believed that the Mid is good enough. But upon testing it, OMG I’m impressed. I immediately packed the mid planning to give it to someone worthy of it. LOL
The stereo separation is impressive, the instrumentals are more noticeable. What’s more! the bass! it’s both punchy and deep! some audiophile might argue but for me it’s great. It feels like having a sound system on the size of a hand bag.

Queríamos un altavoz pequeño en casa para escuchar música, pero que tuviera calidad y que no sonara a “altavoz portátil”. Hicimos primero una prueba con el HomePod de Apple, y fue una gran decepción por muchos motivos. Entre ellos que era muy inconsistente y que no todas las canciones se escuchaban bien.
Al final decidimos probar este altavoz y menuda diferencia. Por un lado, la calidad del sonido es buena pero mejora muchísimo cuando configuras el altavoz a tu gusto con la aplicación de Bose. Por otro lado, puedes tener varios dispositivos conectados al altavoz, dos de ellos pudiendo emitir sonido sin tocar botones, un gran detalle. Y, por último, la latencia entre el dispositivo y el altavoz es inapreciable o nula, lo que nos ha permitido conectar también la televisión y ver películas con una calidad de sonido muy superior.
Para completar, decir que lo usamos a diario desde hace 2-3 semanas y solo lo hemos cargado dos veces 😅.
Recomendable 👏.

I spent a while looking through reviews of comparable speakers and finally bit the bullet on this one.
For audio I typically gravitate towards Sony, but was put of by the sheer size of the comparable speakers; for me, the priorities are sound quality (signature), portability (moving from room to room) and durability (something this expensive needs to last!).
I am pleased to report this beauty ticks all boxes, and has exceeded expectations.
Of most note is the sound signature; I tend to drive the speaker through a portable HIBY DAP player, and the pairing is excellent providing a wonderful layered sound. (Also have the option of driving a wired connection)
Also worth noting the Bose app is brilliant – simple and effective
This one is an investment, and the build suggests it will stand the test of time.

I bought this to replace a Bose SoundTouch 30 speaker which was much too large for what I need it for nowadays – mostly as a desktop speaker when working from home.
This is a solid, weighty and well made speaker, with a sound that very nearly matches the quality of the SoundTouch speaker – perhaps lacking a little of the warmth, but still very detailed. I mostly listen to “classical” music and BBC Radio 4, and very impressed with the virtual soundstage and clarity. I find the EQ perfect and not too bass heavy, but the EQ option via the app works well if you need it.
My only cons are: I wish there was a way to turn off the ‘on’ sound. Can’t it just turn on without the announcement? And the volume increments need to be more nuanced – there’s a huge leap in volume from just one notch! It’s often difficult to get it at just the right volume.

So. I started to panic once I ordered when I noticed from Amazon “frequently returned items” Well. No need to worry. Yes £300 is a lot of money but first party over and I have no regrets. In fact I’m going to buy another as you can easily link two for stereo or party mode. Worth the money. Recommend

Es kommt immer darauf an, was man haben möchte; die BOSE ist ein Spitzenprodukt und die Verarbeitung ist Premiumklasse. Sie eignet sich aber mit Sicherheit nicht zum Beschallen größerer Räume.
Meiner persönlichen Meinung, und das ist Ansichtssache, kommt sie über den gesamten Frequenzbereich glatt rüber, das hängt aber auch vom Titel beziehungsweise von der Musik ab.
Ansonsten ist das Klangerlebnis sehr gut bist zu einer gewissen Lautstärke.
Jenseits darüber kommt es dann zu einem eher konservenartigen Höreindruck
Wer also diese Box hauptsächlich für Partybeschallung haben will, soll es lieber sein lassen.
Diese vom Rauminhalt eher kleine Box schafft es tatsächlich, einen angemessenen Bass zu erzeugen, und ist auch bis einer gewissen Lautstärke durchgehend stimmig.
Die Box ist, meiner Meinung nach, ausschließlich etwas für jemanden, der zwar auch mal etwas lauter Musik hören will. aber im großen Ganzen mehr auf die Lounge Tour steht; hier ist die Box in ihrer Darstellung annähernd überragend.
Ich persönlich habe die BOSE nur deswegen zurückgeschickt, da sie schlichtweg nicht in mein höchstpersönliches Anforderungsprofil passt; d.h. natürlich nicht, dass sie nicht für anderweitige Verwendung absolut stimmig ist Das muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.
Ich habe trotzdem fünf Punkte vergeben, da letztendlich der Hör- und Klanggenuss Ansichts(Hör-) Sache ist.
