The sound quality is fully up to expectations: a surprisingly big sound from this small item that looks like a very much bloated pepper pot; voices are perhaps a trifle too bass and slightly muffled, but this is a quibble: no-one has a right to expect top high fidelity from a speaker this size…
Build quality is as good as I’d come to believe Bose achieves – this is my first Bose item, something I’ve meant to buy for some time.
Battery life? No idea! So far I’ve just used the speaker in my workshop, where it’s connected to mains power. Hence the 4 stars for battery, just a guess really.
My only query is that while connecting to my iPhone via Bluetooth was a cinch, I cannot yet persuade my (also new) Astell & Kern Jr mobile music player to connect. The latter has been working with some very good AKG headphones, great sound quality via Bluetooth; but despite repeated attempts I cannot get this and the Bose to recognise one another. And I have to say the Bose website is less than helpful! It’s “support” link merely lists various software updates, and I cannot see any sort of helpline… Maybe I’ve missed it.
After more extended use I’ll revisit this review and offer updates.

In effetti la qualità Bose non viene smentita. Il suono non è proprio cristallino ma in compenso i bassi sono potenti.
Inoltre il telaio in alluminio è un bel vantaggio visto che verrà portata all’aperto. La consiglio.

I look at this and wonder. What kind of world do we live in where things like this are made? I have no idea how it works. How does it sound so good when it’s so small? How is it made? Who thinks up these things? Truly a great first world solution to a first world problem, and very life affirming for all that. Pricey but a good example of ‘get what you pay for’. Great quality, very easy set up – the associated optional app works well for this – and really impressive sound. Bass is very good, which is often the weakness of portable speakers. 360 sound also very impressive. I bought the charging dock as well and would recommend that for both form and function reasons. What a wonderful world.

I am a big Bose fan and always have been so maybe a little biased. I have Bose surround sound and home cinema set up that I have had for nearly 20 years. I did my homework and read all the reviews when I needed a decent Bluetooth speaker. I wanted something to just grab when we sit in the garden but also something for round the pool on holiday and for an overnight stay in a hotel etc. I did not want to compromise on sound quality any more than I had to as I’m aware its a big ask to reproduce good quality sound from such a small single speaker. The build quality you will notice right away is top notch as its very solid. The sound quality is much better than I expected and really very good. Its better than others ive had or listened to and worth every penny. There is also a travel case available which I’m going to buy. Its quite heavy so consider that if you travel.

I love this speaker! Amazing sound quality and the 360 sound is fabulous. Especially for parties etc. It looks good. Not to big and intrusive. Easy to transport between rooms or take outside. It is quite loud! I’ve never had it turned right up (I don’t think the neighbors would appreciate it!) but on a normal volume level it’s perfect. When turned up louder it doesn’t lose sound clarity. Very sharp lovely sound.
This is a lot of money for me so I had to save up for it but I’m so glad I did! I looked at some of the cheaper options of similar speakers but this one was definitely worth the extra money. Battery life is great on it too. And it tells you the remaining battery when you turn it on so easy to keep track of when to charge. No listening to music and it suddenly turns itself of half way through a song!!! Great speaker. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Superb sound in a small package. Wholesome warm sound, and decent bass given the size. I also had a Cambridge Audio Minx Go and UE Boom 2, and I much preferred the Revolve. Whilst the Boom was louder, the bass was poor in comparison. Placing the Bose in the corner of a room on a wooden cabinet really boosts the sound given this in a 360 non-directional downward firing speaker. As there is only a single full-range driver, the bass does diminish at higher volumes, but it’s plenty loud enough for my needs.
It has a reliable Bluetooth connection in a 2 bed terrace house, with not many drop outs. I have two of these speakers; one upstairs and one in the kitchen, and using the Bose app I can connect them and have multi room sound. Having both speakers in the same room with stereo mode active noticeably improves the experience. OK these aren’t cheap, but I’d definitely recommend if you need a small, well built portable Bluetooth speaker with multi room capability.

I’ve used a couple of Bluetooth speakers recently and there’s some decent stuff about…then I tried this.
What a difference!
The audio quality is clear and rich, music sounds great through this. It’s not just that though. Battery life is brilliant and kept surprising me that there was so much left.
Multiple Bluetooth connections help too as do the audio messages from the speaker keeping you informed of what’s connected etc.
The build quality is superb and you know it’ll last.
Tip: put it on a mini tripod like a Joby handypod or Manfrotto Pixi to make it sound better, they are great as speaker stands! Worked really well for me!

Excellent speaker and very good quality. Battery last so incredibly long and connecting thru Bluetooth is simple and easy. My only 2 remarks and reason for 4 stars are that I would expect more bass effect from Bose. Sound is very clear and so good even when you listen low or high bur I miss more bass. I guess that for more bass I should go for better version of speaker with AC plug. Bluetooth connectivity is very simple but you can connect in speaker memory only two device. When you connecting third device speaker automatically delete one from memory.
But even with this two small remarks I fully recommend this speaker as worth of buying and enjoying in music
