Very easy to connect with USB cable. I was a bit surprise that there is no USB cable in the box so you have to use one from the speaker.

Practical if you let the speaker charging and take it to listen in other room. Little bit pricey but that’s expected considering the brand. But we get what we paid for. Perfect finish and proper performance.

This is probably a bit of an add on money maker for Bose. Frankly, given the cost of any Bose device, I guess most buyers would pay a little more to have this included with the speaker. Is it needed? No. The revolve speakers have a charge port, cable and plug pack to charge directly. So why pay another £25 for a simple bit of kit? Dunno really…it looks good, completes the speaker set up and it’s convenient to have a fixed base where the speaker can charge up when not in use and look part of the home. I’ve tucked this into a corner of the sitting room. It’s ready to use as a speaker at any time and convenient to pick up and use outside whenever I want. Bear mind this is just the cradle. There’s no cabling or plug, so you need to use what’s supplied with the speaker. It’s an indulgence, but I like it.

My only problem is the connection is prone to detaching, however now know to keep eye on battery symbol, if it disappears then need to make sure to push in.

I bought the charging cradle because my expectation was it would make the charging process easier. It doesn’t. Placing the box on the cradle isn’t intuitive, it only fits in one exact position, which means you end up having to carefully turn the box until it clicks in. Annoying and time wasted! During that process one is likely to move the cradle, which almost always leads to the cable to become unplugged as it’s hanging in there rather loosely and the slightest motion will lead to the whole thing to become undone. Often you will then have to remove the box again that you just carefully managed to place in the correct position, turn the cradle to plug in the cable and start the whole process all over. This is the worst design and really disappointing coming from such a high end manufacturer.

Plugging your speaker in and out for charging can be awkward and I think, when this action is constantly repeated it could cause damage to the delicate parts of the speaker. This charging dock just makes life so easy.

Even though you can recharge your Bose Revolve speaker without this cradle, it is very practical which is why I recommend it
