Great little blender – exactly what i needed, but the clip on the lid snapped off after only a week, which was very disappointing , so possibly a quality issue or manufacturing issue.

A good blender for most fruits. Good blending with juices and milk

Well, it initially made great smoothies (depending on your opinion on smoothies in general). The bottle did need shaking frequently to get contents at the top blended, though, as the mixing action didn’t seem to be all that effective. Then it decided to self-destruct after just a few uses – the rubber gear connecting to the blade just disintegrated and left us trying to work out how to reassemble a gear out of the powder we were left with.
Breville say that this is user error through excessive use, but we never ran it for longer than a few seconds, and who designs something that can destroy itself at any time anyway? That’s like building a car that can go 90mph but all the wheels fall off if you go over 30mph. You can put a warning in the manual but you’re still going to get a lot of cars with no wheels, and lots of people who only ever went 25mph will probably end up losing a wheel or two.
Amazon accepted the return after talking to an agent (you probably won’t get any luck with Breville or the automated system) and we’ll not be buying one of these again. The bottles were nice but there’s a reason this costs a fraction of the cost of others. We’ll probably go with a Nutribullet or Ninja — they each have their own issues but at least spare parts are easy to get and they’re much better made.

This is Brilliant!
So easy and convenient, makes a smoothie in seconds..
I used almond milk, a fresh banana and frozen fruit, whizz’s through no problem and with the convenience of two bottles.. stick the lid on and go! So easy to clean too, no fiddly bits.. just so easy 100 % recommended..

I bought this for breakfast smoothies and to avoid having to lug my big jug blender out every day. It’s been great, and has been a hit with my children too.
It’s compact: I can keep the base unit out without cluttering my counters. The bottles fit easily in cupboards.
It’s easy & simple to use – screw cap shut, click into place press one button, unclick from unit, unscrew cap, screw on lid.
For those with strength/mobility issues: it’s not at all difficult to twist/click the bottle into the base unit and the button only requires a gentle pressure. The most resistance is in screwing/unscrewing the various caps, as they have a rubber seal, but it’s very little resistance, the same as your average juice screw cap I’d say.
That said, it is still a pulse blender, so you have to keep the button pushed in for as long as you want it to blend. It really doesn’t need long at all, though; the instructions say not to run it continuously for longer than 30 seconds to prevent overheating but I’ve never yet approached that length of time. I have been using this every morning for 2 weeks now (and my kids every other day or so on top of that) and I’ve never yet needed to press it for longer than 10 seconds. My smoothies are banana, frozen berries (including chunky strawberries), powder and liquid, so maybe if you’re crushing ice you might need to, but it really is remarkably quick and efficient.
The spout is nice and wide and easy to drink from.
It’s powerful – frozen berries get chopped up with ease (something my old-but-expensive jug blender couldn’t manage). I’ve not tried it with ice yet.
It’s easy to clean (see video) – a drop of washing up liquid and some hot water, cap on, blitz for a few seconds and rinse! If there’s stuff stuck to the sides then a quick scrub with a bottle brush is all you need. I’d definitely recommend a bottle brush as the bottles are long and narrow and might be tricky with a normal washing up brush.
I know many reviews have mentioned the cap getting in the way when drinking, but I’ve not found this to be the case. The cap is free to move but you can push it a little further and it stays open and out of the way.
The catch on the lid cap could be an issue – it’s solid moulded plastic clicking onto a solid triangular ‘lip’ on the lid, which means you have to lift a loop of plastic up to disengage the catch. This means it could potentially bend and snap over repeated usage, but I’ve personally not felt it was weak or at risk of breaking. That said, I’m conscious of not being too rough with it.
I’m not sure how long the rubber loop will last – I can imagine if you’re regularly carrying a full bottle from the strap it won’t last forever, but I carry mine by the body.
All in all, this is an excellent, powerful little blender at a great price.

I recently bought the Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker, and it’s been a great addition to my kitchen! In fact I have ordered twice the same item. It’s super easy to use—just toss in your ingredients, blend, and go. The motor makes smooth, tasty smoothies in no time, perfect for daily use. Cleaning is a easy; the parts come apart easily and rinse clean quickly. The two 600ml leak-proof bottles are handy for on-the-go. For the price, it’s fantastic value—does exactly what I need without breaking the bank! The power is decent for every day stuff for what I use for fruits. When I add carrots I usually chop carrots to make smoothies without impact the blade much.

💚 Great that the bottles screw in directly, less to clean
💚 Nice small size, I imagine it could be used portably but it requires a socket for power
💚 Comes with 2 bottles
💚 Blends well
💚 Feels good quality
💚 Good price
💛 I’ve noticed a funky smell when used, but I’m hoping this is because it’s new – sometimes new items do smell weird until they’ve been used a while.
💛 Wish it had replacement blade sections

Great for doing smoothies even with frozen fruit

Perfect thanks you

I haven’t used the product yet but was disappointing to find that it came all the way from Uk to AUS without power adaptor. I had to order one so i can use it.

This is the second time I have bought this product the first one lasted just under three years and as it was used daily to make breakfast shakes for my wife and myself I think it has done a brilliant job for what I paid £19. As my old blender was starting to slow this new one blends perfectly again, they have changed the bottle caps but to be honest there was nothing wrong with the old style I never suffered one leak in my cycle commute to work. Blends frozen blueberries, raspberry, mango, spinach, strawberry very easily add either of the fruits and spinach to greek yoghurt soya milk protein powder and a banana for a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this product
