  • 【4K HD Media Player】The digital media player 4K enables any TV(old or new) to play videos, music and photo slideshows/PPT from USB drives or micro SD cards. Enjoying 4K video quality via HDMI output by connecting to TV/monitor/projector and up to 7.1 stereo surround sound via AV/Optical output by connecting to speakers/amplifiers.
  • Powerful H.265 Decoding: USB video player supports H.265/HEVC decoding technology up to 4K@30Hz resolution and 200mbps. Compared with H.264 decoding and 1080P resolution, ByDiffer hdmi 4K media player for TV has ultra high definition images, smooth playback with less buffering and less bandwidth occupation.
  • Dual USB Ports: Read micro SD cards/USB flash drives(up to 128G)and USB hard drives (up to 8TB). Dual USB2.0 ports can connect two devices, but only read one of them at one time. You can also connect a USB keyboard/mouse/U disk/printer via the USB2.0 port. The mp4 player supports FAT32, exFAT and NTFS file systems.
  • Multiple Playback Modes: Videos and photos can be played in sequential orders, and music can be played in random orders. TV player supports automatic playback, the ability to resume video playback from the last stop point and shuffle playback with repeat. Suitable for digital signage applications, home theaters and office work.
  • Portable Media Players: Compact and travel design due to the palm size, the pocket USB media player is easy to carry. The gray hdmi media player is made of zinc alloy with fast heat dissipation, better protection, exquisite and superior appearance.
  • Note: You may need an additional 12V external power supply to power USB hard drives in order to read USB data properly. Because different high-capacity USB hard drives have different power supply requirements. You can also ask the seller of USB hard drives for help.

Bought this 4K Media Player so I could play my own Movies, TV Series and music. I attached it my 4K TV. Then I attached a Crucial X6 2TB potable hard drive to the Media Player and that’s how I play my media. From day one till now I’ve never had a problem with this player. It’s got basic settings for your screen size your audio and your subtitles. It auto detects your TV and you may have to go into settings and adjust the screen so it fits to the edge of your TV. Like I say I use this media player everyday and so far never had a problem. Happy with purchase.

On paper, I like the features, but as soon as I unboxed, the unit was plagued with either not being seen by my HDMI port (using the included cable) on my new TV or freezing (happens with and without any media plugged in). The UI was written in semi-poor Chinglish and a couple of the menus didn’t make sense, most specifically, the mouse icon. The UI graphics looked 90’s era in looks of resolution/font, which is surprising since it claims it can output 4k…I expected a more beautiful user experience. The remote, while responsive, felt cheaply made and feel that one hard press of the button could break it. Good attempt, but falls short to being useful or reliable.

The ByDiffer 4K Ultra HD Digital Media Player is excellent! It delivers crisp 4K video playback and supports multiple formats like H.265/HEVC. It’s easy to use with USB drives or micro SD cards, and the auto playback feature is super convenient. The variety of output options, including HDMI, AV, and optical, make it versatile for any setup. Perfect for digital signage or home entertainment. Highly recommend

Depending on what you want to use it for this can be a great little gadget, major issues I had was the remote was not good if your playing back content that has subtitles there is not button on the remote to switch them on and off same with audio you have to actually enter a menu to do this, which honestly I found extremely annoying.

I have an older unit similar product but the subtitles/audio flip is on the remote and easy to access this is not sadly.

It played both my hard drives while plugged in but did struggle.

Played back content fine only issue was once you set up your content to play back a perticular way it kept jumping out of the size ratio. Instead of just upscalling to the correct format even when trying to do it manually changing threw the menu it struggled making things look weird and not correct.

My older unit would just automatically play things correctly without having to mess around to much.

Perhaps it didn’t like my TV no clue but the mouse feature also on the remote is pointless so navigation wise not the best untit I’ve tried.

It was fast if your running usbs but for bigger hard drives with alot of content it did struggle and crash.

Not sure it’s worth the price

Think of this device as an old-school iPod that uses your TV for output. It’s offline, with no internet connection, so everything needs to be walked to it. While there are many of these devices around, this one has interesting features like two USB ports plus a Micro SD slot, and the ability to install Android APKs like Musicolet, AIMP, and VLC. Download the 32-bit APKs to a flash drive or micro SD, navigate on the home screen to “Files” and open them to install.
Sherry from ByDiffer confirmed for me that the operating system is Android 7.1 and that the maximum capacity of the micro SD card is 128GB and can be formatted FAT32, NTFS, or exFAT.
    Now the bad news.
Documentation is poor. The instruction manual is in broken English, and – as always – batteries aren’t included for the remote and you’ll need 2 AAA batteries to get started. The software isn’t well documented either, starting with what version of Android it is running. FWIW, mine is running firmware version 1.1.8, but there’s no information on how to update it or modify it.
I’ve also found that aftermarket music apps can start playing while you’re using the built-in video player even if the music app was shut down. There’s also no screensaver, which is a disappointing step back from the earlier off-line media players.

Verdict: at the price, you’re not far off from Android boxes that can access the internet. But those are usually loaded with malware so this being offline-only provides some safety. This box best serves low-tech people who want a simple interface, yet like to experiment with apps. It can be very useful for music or digital signage as well.

This little device works as advertised. It is great for playing videos or music without wifi. also really good for store or business signs.
I checked it with music, PowerPoint, and photos. It takes 2 USB slots, perfect for swapping and storing the spare, leaving a few seconds of down time.
The only thing about PPTX is that I could not get it to show the slideshows with the transitions built in. but you can choose for it to move to next slide bu 5-second increments

The media could not be loaded.

Se ven muy bien los videos y las imágenes y tiene muchas opciones en el modo de reproducción y audio

Excellent cost value and alternative to digital menu screens, had several monitors being used as menu screens and attached these and ran them to the monitors and they work great. For ease of use get a small memory stick and put whatever file or image you want to use so that when the unit turns out it will default to the file / image automatically without you having to do anything.
