I will admit to not realising that this was a self-assembly product, so imagine my dismay when it turned up in a flat box instead of a large square one. Notwithstanding this, I have been self-assembling furniture for well over 40 years so got out the instructions and the (supplied) Allen Key to assemble it. The written portion of the instructions are clear but very brief, and for the actual assembly you have to rely on the pictures. These pictures show so little detail that I may as well have assembled it from my own engineering knowledge. I had to re-fit the bottom panel as it did not show which way up it was to be fitted, and then had to swap two sides over so that the suspension strut lugs were on the same side. All rather basic and you might think obvious, but the pictures should show this detail so as to be un-ambiguous, which they certainly are not!

I am REALLY impressed with this product despite NOT being a fan of self build plastic furniture. This product is well produced and all parts are specifically labelled for construction. The complete unit is plastic therefore no parts that will rust, including the straps that hold the lid open/closed. Each side clipped neatly into each other with a reassuring ‘click’ and once the main carcass is built the floor slides neatly into the base. It is an ‘easy assembly’ product that you don’t even need to look at the diagram leaflet for! The Lid is a neat closure ensuring that water cannot run down the side walls of the lid and into the unit. Storage capacity is great – I fitted 5 x large back cushions and 3 x seat cushions into it and gently closed the lid. The lid is ‘nice and sturdy’ and then can be secured with the lockable clasp that makes sure it doesn’t spring open. Although it is on the more expensive side of ‘value for money’ that is because the product is so well made with good sturdy plastic components that it should be capable of lasting for a good few years

Amazon se va a encargar del asunto, pero cuidado con este vendedor que no respeta la política de garantía de devoluciones. ACTUALIZO: el vendedor nos responde que sólo reembolsa el 100% si el baúl no ha sido montado. Y sin avisar devuelve sólo el 40% del coste del artículo. Esas condiciones no vienen de forma expresa en la info del baúl. Cómo va a ver un cliente si le gusta o no el artículo comprado si n sacarlo del embalaje y montarlo? Reitero que no están siguiendo la política de devoluciones.

I was surprised when the item arrived flat packed. I wouldn’t have ordered it if I’d known. I’ve checked the details and it doesn’t say self assembly anywhere. Anyway did manage to put it together, although I put the base on as per instructions and it was wrong, as the holes for the feet had been drilled in the other side., so had to take it off and screw it in again, Ive got arthiritis so using a Allen key for tightening screws is quite painful. It took me half the day to assemble but all my garden cushions fit in nicely.

Più grande di quello che cercavo che doveva servire a riporre i cuscini di 4 poltrone del giardino. Scelta perchè dello stesso materiale e soprattutto colore screziato delle poltrone. Il montaggio fatto 2 volte perchè dalle istruzioni non si capivano alcune cose che sono state chiare solo dopo il primo montaggio. Ma niente di drammatico.
