The super cute Clementoni ride on rocking horse is exactly as described and does exactly as promised.
A little bit of assembly is required but the instructions are clear to follow and no tools are required. It takes two AAA batteries, but these are supplied to get the child started playing with it immediately out of the box.
It’s made of very sturdy plastic and looks and feels like it can take a few knocks and bumps.
To switch it on, there is a switch on the side of his head. It can be switched into either English or Spanish language. Whilst not particularly loud, but the sound volume can not be adjusted.
There are 3 interactive buttons on the horse’s mane and when pressed play songs, nursery rhymes, numbers, animal sounds etc. Also, there is a sensor on the horse’s muzzle that when touched lights up and interacts with the child. When the horse senses movement, it makes realistic galloping and neighing sounds.
As the child grows, the rockers on the bottom can be removed and the horse used as a ride on horse rather than a rocking horse.
The video attached to this review gives a very quick snapshot as to some of the things it can do, but the video doesn’t really do it justice or capture the full potential, it’s much better in person. It’s really cute, fun and adorable.
I like to sit my four month old granddaughter on it and press the interactive buttons to play the sounds which do attract her attention. Obviously she’s too young right now to play with it unaided as it’s best suited for children ages between 12 to 36 months, but there is no doubt in my mind that she will love it as much as I do once she reaches 12 months or so and can rock on it herself properly.
The horse is beautifully presented in an attractive box and would make a wonderful gift. I really like this toy a lot and I’m very happy to recommend it.
