Given the 720W rating of the motor, which is at the upper end of what you find in a hedge trimmer (most are around the 400 watt mark) this hedge trimmer is relatively lightweight.
It comes with a generous 10m length of 2×1.0mm² cable. No cable management though; as with many hedge trimmers you’ll want some double-sided velcro strap to keep your cable tidy.
There’s a discrepancy between the listing and the user manual regarding the maximum cutting diameter; the listing says 24mm, the manual and the box both say 20mm. Whichever it is, with an almost 1 horsepower motor it doesn’t have a problem getting through the thicker stuff. Not exactly “knife through butter” as it takes a while to munch through a 20mm branch, but munch through it eventually will.
An odd feature of this trimmer is that the end handle – only the end, not the motor or front – can be rotated and locked in five positions; 90°, 45°, 0°, 45°, 90°. The 90° angles may not be of much use, but the 45° angles may be useful depending on how you’re wielding the thing. This adjustment is interlocked with the power switch; if the trimmer is running the handle release button cannot be pushed and if the handle release button is pushed the power switch is locked out.
In use it’s pretty good, the one bugbear is the “dead end” of the blade which you may find overly snaggy. Nothing I cut through seemed to bother the motor at all, though. Presumably with such a hefty motor it’s got a decent gearbox that should last a while.

Used this trimmer on a fairly overgrown hedge, sliced through branches up to 2cm without stalling. Feels great to handle, no issues.

I was surprised by how light this thing was, it makes it very easy to use but obviously means you need to be very careful. It cuts through growth really easily and does a good job. The cable length is decent so you’ll get good coverage. For the price, it’s a decent bit of kit

Good powerful hedge trimmer with good branch cutting size good features the rotation in the hand grip allowing you different angles when cutting a good machine for money

This is a bit more powerful than my trusty Flymo cutter and isn’t much heavier either.
Quite well made, it’s got a long lead and is pretty easy to operate. Shuts off quick when you release the trigger or safety leaver.
New blades means it cuts well, easily 15-20mm and will make short work of most hedge trimming. Easy to handle, it’s a pretty good buy and cheaper than a lot of alternatives.

Works well, powerful and no heavier than my old 500W thinner, recommended.

Brilliant hedge trimmer

This corded hedge trimmer is great quality and surprisingly powerful for its size. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and easy to operate. The rotating handle is a nice feature, allowing me to trim the side and top of the hedges easily. Probably a bit overkill for my small hedges, but it gets the job done with ease. It is priced at £59.99 at the time of review, which I think is reasonable considering the quality and performance.
