Funciona perfectamente sobre hornillo de gas, el pan se tuesta uniforme y bajo control no se quema. Una vez caliente tienes tostadas en un plis. La placa base se oscurece al primer uso, cosa muy normal al estar expuesta a la llama pero eso sólo afecta a la estética. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra. Buen invento y de buena calidad.

It didn’t cook 4 slices of bread at once very well at all. It took an age to unevenly toast just one side and even then not sure it could be described as toasted. In the end it was quicker to revert back and do one slice at a time. Shame, as love the idea, just needs slightly better execution in my humble opinion.

This product works BRILLIANTLY! But only if you have a decent gas stove. I have used it on both a £10 stove (the ones that come in a plastic case and takes the mini canisters) and found it was ok for toast but It ended up with lightly toasted dried bread…not the best. I have recently upgraded to a £100 2 ring expensive stove for my camper, the toaster is spectacular on this. Toast takes a couple of minutes but I have found that the best thing to cook on here is fruit loaf (due to the high sugar content it toasts in seconds).

Having read some mixed reviews on this camping toaster i decided to give it a punt and see whether it could satisfy my relentless hunger for toasted bread. It took a short time to assemble, then i simply placed it on my gas ring and lit the ring. Bread straight on the rack and after a few turns, boom, toast! Simply add some Lurpak (slightly salted) and it’s enough to send an average man into a euphoric state. I am an average man and after quite a while of recuperation i am now able to review this fantastic toaster. I have already chucked my normal toaster at home for one of these, the toast is so evenly cooked and crispy it leaves everything else in its wake. Benjamin Franklin, your time was wasted.

A superb little rack that produces good toast in a reasonable time (for a cooker based toaster). A few people say it doesn’t work well, or not at all on a domestic cooker. It is not designed for use on a home cooker so it is no surprise it won’t work. It has to be used on a Butane camp cooker where it is superb. Natural gas burns at 38.7MJ/m³ whereas butane is 93.2MJ/m³!

I tried to use this toaster contraption with a Trangia gas camping cooker and it didn’t work. This may have been the type of camping cooker etc, however it did dry the bread out a bit but didn’t toast it, even at full power. The main issue with this toaster is that it’s not made of aluminium or stainless steel, so it pretty much rusted all over after getting into contact with moisture, which is fairly difficult to avoid whilst camping. I have thrown this away after one trip, as it’s easier to just stick your bread on a fork and toast it over the cooker that way haha.

Pour les allergiques au nucléaire et les campeurs, ce petit ustensile remplit parfaitement son rôle. Je ne l’ai pas essayé sur un feu de camp, mais sur un brûleur à gaz il permet d’avoir des tranches de pain joliment grillées (ou brunies ou carrément carbonisées parce qu’il n’y a pas de minuterie, hein !). J’en suis très satisfait 🙂

Took me a little while to work out the best flame height and position, with many wonky lopsided slices of toast beginning with. But wow, when you find the golden spot and perfect setting it works like a dream on all four slices, evenly and efficiently browning the bread. Once perfect positioning was discovered I was amazed how good it actually was. Very happy and very impressed with this well designed and clever little unit. DE.
